The Physicians Committee is pushing the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to withdraw millions of dollars in funding from university research during which devices are surgically implanted in dogs- before forcing them to run on treadmills.

It is too late for Queenie, but not for thousands of animals like her.
Queenie was sold to a university laboratory that performs cruel, unnecessary experiments on live animals. In the lab, Queenie and countless other healthy dogs were cut open, devices were implanted in their blood vessels, and then they were forced to run on treadmills. The experimenters then induced hypertension in Queenie by reducing the flow of blood to her kidneys. After nine torturous months, Queenie was killed.

Again, please consider your membership with PCRM, so more people get aware and can sign their actions.
You need not donate if you cannot do so, still can register with them. After signing their petition you will probably get more email from them, that's sufficient.

Here's the message:

Thank you for signing our petition to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) asking that more than 300 government-owned chimpanzees be permanently retired from experimentation.

What's up with that? I clicked the green 'visit site' button :(

I assume that PCRM simply got the wrong confirmation /thank you message still on as for one thing, these chimps have alrady been releases -except the last remaining 50 - some time ago. So no worries about having signd the wrong petition.

Signed and got the same message as others. I'm happy to save the chimps if that's what it does for the 50 remaining you spoke of. So I went via the headline, then to petition, signed again and got the same message about chimps.
