Tell Energy Secretary Moniz: Don't Encourage Expanded Fracking.

It's clear the Obama administration wants to green-light fracked gas exports. But, as energy secretary, Moniz has a lot of leverage in the administration to push back against pressure from the White House to approve fracked gas exports.

"It's clear that the Obama administration wants to green-light fracked gas exports. Earlier this year, at a forum with Central American leaders, President Obama predicted that the United States would export more gas than it imports by 2020, an unambiguous signal that he hopes to approve the slate of permits to export gas that are currently under review by the Department of Energy"

When you read that you know it's going to take pressure like hell and still we might see Moniz caving.. Wish Obama were not so hellbent with his no.1 export hit.

Subject: I just signed this petition -- will you?

Hi,

I just signed a petition telling Energy Secretary Moniz to stop the fracking industry from endangering our health and climate by exporting natural gas. Will you sign also?

Secretary Moniz is under a lot of pressure to green-light unlimited natural gas exports, so it's going to take a lot of public pressure to stop fracked gas exports from moving forward.

Signed with pleasure and increasing dismay with Obama. Take the time to see how many CARE2 actions are directed at the White House or one of the Secretaries who are implementing Obama policy! This is the most anti-environmental administration we've had in a very long time. If fracking is supposed to be the savior of our domestice energy needs then why oh why do they need exports?????
