Unless Kroger signs the Pledge for GE-Free Seafood, it and its subsidiaries, which include Ralphs, Fred Meyer, GFC and Food 4 Less, may soon be selling genetically engineered salmon and other genetically engineered seafood.

Major grocery stores, such as Target, Aldi, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Giant Eagle, and Meijer have committed not to sell genetically engineered seafood, representing more than 4,400 grocery stores across the United States.

Now we are asking Kroger, the nation’s largest conventional grocery store chain, to follow suit.

Gladly signed. We no longer have Kroger in the area I live in, but the more grocery stores that commit to this, the better.

But now we're targeting Kroger, the nation's largest grocery store chain. Their stores include Ralphs, Fred Meyer, GFC and Food 4 Less and they are refusing to say outright that they won't sell GE salmon if it's approved by the FDA.

I agree 100% with Angelika R.--->MOST of the major grocery chains across the United States have now committed to NOT sell genetically engineered (modified) seafood in their stores...ie..Target, Aldi, Giant Eagle and Meijer to name a few. Kroger is also one of the leading chains in our countrbut yet they have not committed to ANYTHING even remotely pertaining to this issue! I, for one, pledge NOT make ANY further purchases in their stores until they PUBLICLY commit to this vital issue!

GMO is not healthy or wanted, natural products are required and in the U.S. GMO is not required to be labelled which hardly gives consumers a choice if they are not purchasing organic. There are many people who are low income who can't afford to and at least they should have a clear choice.
