U.S. Demands in Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement Text, Published Today by WikiLeaks, Contradict Obama Policy and Public Opinion at Home and Abroad

Please read on at visit site, -many links provided there. You may also want to read RT article TPP Uncovered

Thanks for this, Angelika. We owe a debt of gratitude to Wikileaks for publishing this! I've looked up some of the links included by Public Citizen, and they are very informative. I'm hoping that our "partners" have the sense not to let Obama and the U.S. steamroll over them. They would have to be either stupid, or (infinitely more likely), bought out in some way for this to be accepted.

Julian Assange sums up the impact of this monstrosity of an agreement nicely, making his statement to accompany the Wikileaks release (quoted from the RT article):

“If instituted, the TPP’s IP regime would trample over individual rights and free expression, as well as ride roughshod over the intellectual and creative commons,” Assange said. “If you read, write, publish, think, listen, dance, sing or invent; if you farm or consume food; if you’re ill now or might one day be ill, the TPP has you in its crosshairs.”

You can also go to the press release directly on the wikileaks.org site.
It is what we all feared, were warned and have warned-and that's just the IP chapter..the rest is probably as bad or even worse.
Sign every petition you come across urging Congress not to "Fast track" !

Judy, I just payed my debt to wikileaks by fullfilling my pledged promise to donate to them if they'd release TPP text - that campaign for a "crowdsourced" reward was posted and introduced earlier this year (http://org.salsalabs.com/o/1439/content_item/freetpp), so they're collecting that reward. as of today

World leaders are meeting NEXT WEEK to continue negotiations on the TPP. Now that we know what’s in it, it’s clear we have no choice but to stop it completely. And we don’t have much time. Here's a glance of what's in it:

* Shutting off our Internet connection and blocking entire websites over claims to copyright infringement -- check.
* Encouraging our ISPs to spy on everything we do on the web and sharing our private data with copyright holders - check.
* Accusing people of copyright infringement without due process -- check.
* Making medicine and medical care harder to get -- check.
* Circumventing protections for workers and the environment -- check.
* Undermining democracy and national sovereignty -- check.

Creative freedoms aside; these are the same type of laws that allowed the GMO companies to patent seeds and gain control over third world nations through the IMF austerity economics. It is also an attempt to further castrate our freedom of choice by patenting natural plants and the human genome as well as our freedom to think for ourselves. Yes, you will be assimilated unless you protest and make your voice heard now.

@ Nancy L - THAT would not change a thing and any other prez would do the exact same thing and most likely MUCH MORE and worse stuff! As long as it supports the elite 1% they are ALL enslaved to!

You got that right Angelika, this Democrat is better or Republican is better or worse depending on what side of the coin you are on is keeping the masses from truly seeing what is going on. We had some Candidates on the last of our major elections that wanted to bring about what is needed: Election Reform, Finance Reform, get rid of NDAA and Patriot Act and those Candidates from the Justice Party and the Green Party were brilliant and most important not OWNED by the 1%. BOTH those Parties refused to except Corporate donations more than $100 and so it didn't matter if you were a single individual or Corporation, you were given same consideration.

But too many are comfortable with the chains that enslave and it isn't just voting but in order to get the people in the Government to undo some of this mess we need the correct people in the Government. So the people vote for the same two Parties over and over and wonder why things don't improve or get worse. I recall the same statement being shouted about Bush as you are doing now for Obama, Nancy to impeach. Back and forth and back and forth.

When Wall Street and a few people, not even the full 1% the statistics break down to 1% of the 1% calling all the shots, then you don't get elected Officials who are doing things for The People or in a Democratic way, it is for the Interests of the Corporations, the Bankers, Energy and the few that make their monies off of it.

The 1% cry and all claim when someone mentions about raising taxes, "Oh those small business people, those who create the jobs and the drivers of our economies" ......bull crap......they don't care one single bit about Joe's tiny Plumbing business, Sylvia's Flower Shop or Jose and Maria's little taco stand; that is what they count on; people thinking it is raising taxes hurts those people. The 1% EAT those people. Wal-Mart destroyed more Mom & Pop stores all over this Country, McDonalds and the chain food stores put most every little eatery out of business, few little Hardware stores exists anymore as the Big Box Home Depot and Lowe's moved in. Now those Hardware stores hire out their own Carpenters and such so the little guy can't even make a Self Employment living anymore.....has to work under them for peanuts.

Until the money is taken out of our Elections, most of those who sit in our Government be they in the White House, the Senate, and the House are OWNED. Matters not if they wave a red flag or a blue flag or even the American flag........most, with a few exceptions........are waving the Corporate Flag, the Bankers Flag, the Wall Street Flag........so you can vote until the cows come home they are OWNED. Unless you get real SMART and start voting in those who have PROVEN themselves like a Bernie Sanders or an Alan Grayson and a few of the others who are doing their best to go against the grain. Or you can start helping the Parties that are not all bought out like the Green Party and the others.

Isn't it amazing when the minorities were as angry as all heck during the crashing of our economy, when the houses were being ripped away by the millions from people, isn't it amazing that this black man that came from almost no where suddenly rose to the top and was elected that year. A man with a lot of Wall Street backing. In an instant, the anger from the minorities was defused and everyone got happy, a non white finally made it to the White House.......yet others had run in the past......qualified to do so. Why then? We certainly know racism is alive and well in this Country so why then? It defused the anger and everyone that has been most hurt by this economy, the minorities, the working poor many of them white, all figured now there is someone who will relate to us and speaks for us. He himself may truly have been sincere, at the time, but once in there are more who pull the strings. Another Corporate placement with darker skin to keep the masses that were hurting the most at bay..........

The 1% buying time to place in the other things, like the TPP, to get all their ducks in a row. There are people who warn us.........unfortunately there are few that listen. C2 has some amazing stories placed on it and we are suppose to have 20 million members, we know not all those are active, but even with those who are, few actually take the time to view the Big Picture, the Big Boot that is above their head ready to squash them like an ant.

Thanks for doing your part Angelika........TPP will destroy many lives, just as NAFTA did here in the USA. The way I knew my Country and the way it is now we might as well be talking two different places. Sure, things were not perfect we still had a lot to improve upon, a lot, but now.......unless there is a full consciousness of thought within the masses of people around the world this road ahead doesn't look to be a pleasant one. TPP will only ensure that this will be the case.......unpleasant and torturous.

Some short videos for those who may not understand TPP.
Flush Walmart TPP

TPP Negotiator for USA is Monsantos Former Lobbyist

All the White House is doing is negotiating for the 600 Corporate interests and protection of their property rights and provisions that couldn't be achieved through an open democratic process. Why this is being done in secret meetings. If they had anything to hide it wouldn't have to be done in secret. So vote wiser to get those in who will truly work for The People and the best interest of the Earth, then hold their feet to the fire to what came out of their mouths otherwise join groups, Unionize, join in the protests on the streets, and keep pushing back. And become aware of what is taking place in the bigger picture, most critical that be done. Otherwise I guess roll over and play dead for if you don't fight for your best interest why do you expect anyone else to. It certainly won't come from the 1% who have control of most of the Leadership.

LIES, LIES, LIES Obama is trying to bankrupt each and every household in America, and the Middle Class is the first to fail. He knows exactly how we work from paycheck to paycheck and he just keeps attacking us.

He put huge premiums, deductible, copays on us and mandatory insurance, now he is going to make it so we cannot take the drugs required in our daily life, making them unaffordable.

Now he wants to limit what we see on the internet, boy if this isn't Communist & Socialist behavior t I don't know what is. Who voted for this dictator the second time around? What the first 4 years was not bad enough for you?

How could people vote for Obama, they knew NOTHING about him, nothing at all, the man how his records sealed. He was a community organizer, how does that give him the experience to be the President? Hey my lawn guy would have made a better President, he would not be out of touch with the Middle Class. He would know just what our needs are, not like Obama who has NO idea.

I hope in 2016 people need to get to know the Candidates, be an informed educated voter, don't vote for someone because of color, or gender. Research their backgrounds, know who they are and what they represent. Don't be stupid.

Name one good thing he has done for us since coming into office??

Yes, most certainly "nothing" to hide. Well one can always hope Nancy or another similar will come by and read. I place it out there and let the seeds go where they may. It is in the Universe now in hopes that someone who is in a place to want to "think" will come upon it.

As John Trudell has said, you can "believe" in a system or you can be thinking. Anyone who would actually "think" wouldn't want to "believe" in this system. Why would anyone want a system like this that causes such suffering and destruction. But when people are conditioned from birth to accept and believe it is the only way
they merely follow along without needing to think. They are told what to believe and for many it's easier and doesn't require so much effort to follow along on what to believe. Thinking requires some work.

Noted. Seems like I've already signed the petitions posted by Angelika & others (will only take my signature once)....thanks so much for posting! Count me among the big fans of Wikileaks for years now. I've defended Assange as a publisher since he was first attacked by the press & various governments awhile back. I even refuse to watch the movies about him & Wikileaks that he's condemned. I also very much appreciate this document leak.....still trying to publish info so all citizens can be aware of what their governments are doing behind closed doors. My undying thanks! If you are going to bitch, piss, and moan about the POTUS...you have the right to do so...BUT...WHY hide behind a hidden profile?! Is being a teahadist SO horrible that you have to hide?
I know there are many here (Care2) who are PAID to be here; they have multiple profiles. Some are NOT paid to have multiple profiles but they do because they are desperate.(their hate, racism, and bigotry guide them)

Let's be real and honest.

Sometimes I want to say to some of these people "GET A LIFE...GET THE FACTS...AND LEARN THE TRUTH..."
Stop letting the rich ones USE you!!!!

It doesn't matter which major party is in the White House, or Congress, policy, both foreign and domestic, remains the same. Over 100 years ago, WJ Bryan said there was little or no difference between the GOP and the Democrats; he called them, "tweedle-dum and tweedle-dee". The only difference from then to now is that their leaders are even, shall we say, more 'corporate-friendly'. Oh, who am i kidding?, the word i'm looking for is more 'fascist'.

Angelica it would change a lot. When a POTUS commits multiple impeachable offenses he should be impeached. Party does not matter. Law is Law. He has gone around congress multiple times and needs to be reigned in.
