N & S. Thank you, Angelika.

Both senators from Arizona have wanted to bomb Iran for years. But then, McCain and Flake are from Arizona.

McCain is a retired admiral and a trained Navy pilot. When McCain and Obama were running against each other for president, in a debate, McCain said: "Iran is south of Guatemala and Spain."

There was a huge, fatal for many sailors, explosion and fires on the aircraft carrier, USS Forrestal in 1967. The blast and fires started because John McCain bombed his own carrier ...... he still rose to the rank of admiral and ran for president, as the GOP candidate.

Here's my comment:
Are you absolutely insane? Iran is not Japan. The entire geography is different not to mention the geopolitical nightmare that could ensue if your mission fails or goes astray.
There are a couple of military sayings that apply to your idea. FUBAR and SNAFU. Of course it will be expected of the grunts on the ground to clean up your mess so your silken senator's underwear doesn't get dirty. STFUA.

Yes, please keep spreading the word about warmongers like Hunter....as well as McShame (who unfortunately is one of my Senators). I have been voting for whoever runs against him (Dem) for decades. BTW, that crash into the carrier was just one of 4 or 5 times he crashed. He's not the "war hero" everyone makes him to be.

McCain & Hunter are cut from the same cheap cut of cloth! McCain entered Annapolis NOT for his scholastic accomplishments, but because both his father and grandfather were Annapolis graduates! McCain graduated number 14 from the BOTTOM out of a class of over 800! McCain got whitewashed for his part in the Lincoln savings & loan Ponzi scheme, but McCain WAS equally as culpable! but hey what can I say, this mr. asshole McCain foisted brain stupid, sociopath sarah major falin/palin on us.Before McCain become a pow, the imbecelic wannabe had crashed FOUR AIRPLANES PRIOR to becoming a pow! his own pows wanted to frag him. Do not forget the two expendable wives he left behind to FINALLY hit the jackpot with his third VERY RICH wife! The bitch owns a brewery and mrs. McCain is anti MADD = mothers against drunk drivers! Itty bitty wannabe be Duncan Hunter has done the same thing. He is driving his quasi career by the well paved road his father has paved for him! Be very careful of little duncing/Duncan he is nothing but a lousy want to be like daddy moron!

Aurea Walker (201)
Saturday December 7, 2013, 11:40 pm
By the way if it reads like I have a major challenge with McCain, I DO! 34 people committed suicide due to the Lincoln saving & loan rip off! My own mother LOST $100,000.00 because of it and was FORCED to work till age 78 to recoup her loss, so yes it is very personal and as to this insane little duncin/Duncan Hunter to strike against Iran is sheer INSANITY!

Breaking : House Republicans to torpedo President Obama's Iran agreement

House majority leader Eric Cantor is working on a hawkish bill that would torpedo President Obama's interim agreement with Iran by setting unrealistic goals for the final deal.
This isn't a fringe bill - it's one that is gaining ground amongst Democratic members of the House and if we do nothing will become bipartisan.

What Aurea is revealing there does NOT surprise me at all, but it makes me wonder how many more of the representatives and Senators that SOME OF YOU elected into office, have a similar history/personal record...

A truly frightening individual and mindset. Fanatics such as him will lead us to a nuclear winter if they get their way. It's not only the tin pot dictators of places like North Korea who are delusional but right wing Republicans who beat the drums of hostility.

I never would have thought that mutually assured destruction would be considered a good suggestion or solution-- by any rational person. Anyone who can so cavalierly throw around the suggestion of actually using tactical nuclear devices is clearly lacking creativity and responsibility. Talking tough is one thing, however killing is an easy, lazy answer. Figure out a way to make things work without people being killed and make it work. Something that requires ingenuity, new methods. Building something is harder than taring things apart. Hunter may be fine with the consequences of using a nuke on others which is an atrocity in the first place, however, if a country launches a nuke they better be ready to have one lobbed back at them. This is not a slam dunk as in the days of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Once you start launching nukes, you put into motion something that you cannot stop or take back with dire consequences for all. The majority of the people do not want mutual annihilation.
If Duncan bothered to find out anything about the people of Iran, he would have found out that the average everyday person in Iran, aka Persia, has a general like of Americans and the West. They too were not happy with how their government has been handling things and have made some changes internally. You may have noticed that our government does not always represent what the majority of Americans are thinking or want often times as well. Just look at our Congress at the moment for an example of that.
Duncan Hunter is not furthering the best interests of the people he is representing by advocating more war, killing and death. He needs to try building something and making the world safer and better for us and everyone living in it. If he cannot, he is clearly not up to the job. Hunter was honorably discharged from the Marines, perhaps he needs to be honorably discharged from his current duties as well.
We don't need one more war, the loss of life, the life changing injuries, the monies better spent on everything we need here from the care for veterans, elderly, homeless, infrastructure, education, new technology, jobs, energy, wildlife, bringing down the deficit, ad infinitum.
Ready, Fire, Aim is not what we need or want in our elected officials. If Hunter can't dial it back, we need someone who can.

Not only that Dandelion G, but advocating such nonsense is out and out genocide. It indiscriminately kills all civilians not to mention all wild life in a given area and can cause the extinction of already endangered species or species that are local to that given area.

Now, now be nice just like all of the other Neocons he is going through a really really bad case of the DTs. President Obama has forced them into a Cold Turkey withdrawal from their claim to National Security and International Relations expertise and superiority. Keep in mind Obama ended the Iraq War of Lies for Profit, is ending the Bush Botched War in Afghanistan, Osama Ben Laden is rotting at the bottom of the sea, Obama and the USA played coach to the International community getting rid of Kaddafi, Syria is in the process of surrendering for destruction by the International community its chemical WMD with no US boots on the ground, Iran is actually talking to the US and the World about stopping its illegal Nuclear Weapons program which is a hell of a lot more than Israel is doing about its illegal Nuclear Weapons program and 200 warheads. There is also the possibility that Hunter has yet to be informed that Operation Plowshare was ended in 1977. for those who do not know OP was the "DODPNE", Peaceful Nuclear Explosion program that ran from 1960 to 1977. It was 27 nuclear device tests in 17 years to prove the viability of using a wide variety of nuclear bombs to, and I shit you not, 1) drill train and road tunnels through mountains, widen the Panama Canal, carve Interstate 40 through the Bristol Mountains and Death Valley, find and extract shale oil, and build an artificial harbor in Cape Thompson Alaska. Yup all to be done through the miracle of safe peaceful nuclear devices.

His statement "If you have to hit Iran, you don't put boots on the ground, you do it with tactical nuclear devices and you set them back a decade or two or three." is absolutely unacceptable. Betsy Bee needs to get her facts straight. McCain didn't bomb the Forrestal. He didn't have anything to do with it. His plane was one of them that caught on fire and blew up, along with others. An electrical surge caused a rocket to fire from another plane and hit a fuel tank causing it to explode, causing a chain reaction. Not only was it not McCAins plane, it wasn't even the same kind of plane. And McCain retired a captain, not an Admiral.
