"With so many men out of work, it is clear that more families are relying on women workers to make ends meet. As women increasingly take on the role of breadwinner, ensuring that they get a fair wage is taking on more urgency than ever before.....

Now more than ever we need equal pay..We'd also do well to increase the hourly wage.Giving the increase to the American workers would definite make sure the money was ciculated throughout the economy as it went to cover mortages that just might be able to get covered, pay for sevices that workers are now just doing without, Banks hold and recirculate the money within their own little world as we just experiences with the first lump sum wer're all paying for.

And wouldn't it be nice? I am a misplaced worker. So, I am working hard at a job, I normally would not have been in, had there been some manufacturing jobs in this area. My husband is out of work. We are facing a tough time. I need to make a living wage to help us out. But, no, I make now what I did 5 years ago at a job I had just started at. I cannot say anything, because I work in a right to work state. They can fire me for not liking my hair style. Will we ever be treated fairly in the job market? It is not like it is only the man who needs to bring home the bacon anymore. Times have changed, but, attitudes towards women have not.

Thus, sharen we need more women in places of power within the workplace to see that women receive the same pay for the same work. (tho why it should be limited to that, as many women in differing fields due to their schooling/education and job experience and services offered deserve a high rate of pay also. For example the medical field=nurses.
Hey wasn't that long ago a woman couldn't get a credit card without her husband's signature..makes one feel all grown up huh? NOT

For years women have been told they have a husband and did not deserve any more pay!
Not in a nice way either!! Even doing the same work!
We need equal pay for women!
