Even though they claim to be advancing in the cause against global warming, this kind of cutting corners is just as dangerous. Taking shortcuts will only lead to more spills and more habitat damamge. They really do need to address this in a much more responsible way.

Is it because they don't make the same huge profits as the really Big Oil companies. They are listed as the "greenest" oil company. Perhaps sabotage by the Giants? Just a thought.

Recall that it was the BP that was largely responsible for the ExxonValdez disaster at Prince William sound; Exxon for its criminal part, after leasing the "safely equipped" oil tanker from BP, shut off the ship's radar to cut costs!
The media was also negligent in onot reporting this fiasco in a truthful manner; along with the gutless US/UK governments.
