How I would love to see these. York and its Minster, are my favorite places in all England.

Thanks Marty for posting the BBC article. Very interesting and I like the title of the exhibit "Valhalla(from Old Norse Valhöll "hall of the slain". Read and noted.

Hey, those are my people! Some of us are going back to Odin as well! Better awareness of our ancestors provides us with lessons pertinent to modern times, including when civilisation may fall!

My daughter works in the theater in New York but her second major was archeology (well, anthropology) because she might like to see it in her rare spare time.

History and archaeology are very interesting subjects. As a great man said 'the subject of history is the life of peoples and humanity'.

Those are MY ancestors. I want their bones properly interred. Why are we digging up graves anyway? The Native Americans feel very strongly about this topic and rightly so. What scientific purpose is being served by digging up people from their final resting place? Gonna start in the old churchyards next? Ick.
