An ancient log-boat, possibly thousands of years old, has been discovered partly embedded in the banks of the River Boyne in Drogheda, possibly where it originally sank.

Fascinating - and glad to note that there has been improved water treatment that is halting sedimentation. The Boyne will be beautiful again.

Oh what a fantastic find. I dipped my feet in the Boyne in 1995....perhaps right near this very boat!
