The stelas and stone circles in the necropolis area of the Urartian Kingdom in Van is called the 'Stonehenge of Anatolia' because of its similarity to the structure in Britain. The area needs attention to draw tourists

The facts and similarities of Stonehenge sites thruout the world, have led some Academics to suggest that maybe "Stonehenge Architects" or Astronomers or Religious figures, traveled from place to place, spreading their Knowledge of Astronomy, Geometry, and of how to quarry and move large stones.
Another interesting fact is that the Stones used often had to be moved long distances, possibly on rafts by water, as they are often not local to the area. After being cut & shaped in the quarries.
This also suggests IDEAS traveling as well.

So much we don't know and might never even guess at!
