It might well have been Taliban inspired
As the mufti stated
" The Taliban consists of Allah-fearing Ulama. The quality of being Allah fearing is a sufficient description for their devotion and dedication. The fear for Allah is a driving force to do everything according to the orders of Allah.
and he also said
"Taliban was a valid Sharia government. The methods adopted by the Taliban were in accordance to
the Shariah. In the Sharia. The Imaam Islamic ruler has the right and duty to enforce the external
laws of the Shariah. This had been the practice of the four rightly guided KhulafaaRaashideen.
Usama binLadin is an upright Muslim and a devoted Mujaahid of Islam"

The US etal. can fight this bunch of loonies forever and this war will never end. It is another Viet Nam - it will take all the money that could be used for the people in the countries forced to pay for this ridiculous war. It's a tragedy and many have and will suffer like these girls at the hands of these Orthodox Muslims, the Taleban, but the government they now have in their new faux-democracy is not a lot better.

The last time this sad feudal society was even remotely civilized was under Russian occupation when women were given equal rights. The US helped end that and bring in the Taleban.

How sad.

The sad thing was that the US government failed to help after the Russians were chased out leaving a power vaccuum for the Taliban to fill.

The women have fewer rights and a worse type of clothing to wear. I saw a video on the type of life that they have had since a prince introduced this to stop men seeing his possessions. This has nothing to do with religion and all to do with power and domination (for men with small brains). The women live such circumsized lives along with an inability to enjoy their children or any part of their lives. I have supported the teaching of women to be midwives as men are not allowed near them.

Anyone, either Moslem or non-Moslem, who supports these abuses and atrocities is as bad as those that do it and perpetuate their misery. The anti-Semites are such are group.

A military solution is not possible. If the US wants to help, we'll have to take another approach.

Truly misogynistic evil. Fear of a woman's knowledge. Her potential, her advancement and power.

Not to mention the possibility that her newly educated gaze might just settle on HIM!

Trying to keep the women in the dark on education only proves more so that in fact THEY who try and do this are living in the DARK ages!! So truly pathetic!!

There appears to be a huge undertaking in the American media to play down any threats about Islam and Sharia. There has been nothing but positive news and words about Islam from the likes of National Public Radio, which on some days has two interviews about it, and of course, any rare bad news is attributed to Islamic radicals.

The reality is very much at variance with the Leftist media. You won't find an article like this one there. This sort of news is taboo, because people might just come to understand that Sharia/Islam is nuts, and nutty, radical religion makes its followers to nutty, radical and tragic things like this.

One wonders if the Muslim Brotherhood isn't winning this war for the hearts and minds of the West, billing Islam/Sharia as a "democratic" religion. What utter bull crap. These people deserve to rot in hell.

These poor, tortured women.

Like the Left abandoned Shaima Alawadi, once they found out that the husband or the daughter's boyfriend killed her. The poor women's life was violently and painfully beaten out of her, but the Leftist lovers of Islam couldn't care once they couldn't paint it on the West. Sick bastards.

Agreed Phyllis. I'm beginning to wonder if it's a dead end for everybody.

A lot of people have encouraged Western powers to pull out of Afghanistan after all the recent scandals. I wonder if this, and the more general issue that the Taliban and other throwbacks to the Middle Ages are not people whom one leaves running around with modern weapons, will even register in that debate.

Knowledge = power. This is not fear of women, but clearly a case of fear of women gaining power!

Islamic teachings as written in Koran and Hadith are the ROOT CAUSE of TERRORISM and oppression around the world. It is a supremacist ideology similar to Nazi supremacist ideology, which in addition also promotes appartheid (Dhimmitude), misogyny, pedophila, polygamy and murder for Allahu Akbar. Islam MUST REFORM to make it compatible with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights or has no place in ANY CIVILIZED society.

We do not want "honor murders", misogyny, pedophilia, burkhas and murder for Allahu Akibar anywhere in the world. Sharia is incompatible with individual human rights and must be defeated just as Nazi laws were defeated. This Afghanistan attack on education of girls is only small manifestation of Koranic and Hadith teachings, which MUST be deffeated!
