The honey bee population has been lost by up to 90 percent due to Colony Collapse Disorder, where bees leave their hives behind and keep relocating Research shows that a common pesticide, Poncho, is helping create the disorder and the Environmental Protection Agency and other agencies continue to fail in taking necessary steps towards researching and monitoring this issue.

I have heard of no definitive research on Colony Collapse Disorder. No one knows what is causing it, and it is likely a combination of inputs.

Commericial bees are overworked, under nourished, plus constant explosure and ingestation of toxic chemicals in the field, you do not really need an expert to tell what is wrong with it.

I was told by a beekeeper in winter his bees were fed with sugar water (devoid of most nutrients).

The 'article' also appears to offer no info to corroborate their statement connecting it with 'research to CCD.

Correct me if I missed it.

When bees die out, mankind dies. That is, unless we are all going to get out there and pollenate plants.

It is absolutely a honey bee killer. Since our government agencies will not ban it, we must spread the news. Noted.
