Jackie, I've signed the petition and
joined freedetainees.org. Thank you!

Last evening, I was listening to BBC
World Service. They were talking about
Binyam Mohamed.....some of the things they
said that were done to him at Gitmo made
my blood run cold, and I will not repeat
them here.
BBC also said that, once he in returned to
the UK, there is still some doubt as to where
he will go from there. Do you know any details
about this?

Thats great news Tim...thanks so much...This is from BBC bit ambiguous, its not clear if he will be allowed to stay....

A UK resident soon to be released from Guantanamo Bay is unlikely to face harassment by British authorities, says the UK reviewer of terror laws.Lord Carlile said he thought Binyam Mohamed would be "given every opportunity, subject to the law, to integrate himself back" into society.

It is not clear if the Ethiopian-born man will be allowed to stay in the UK.

Liberal Democrat peer Lord Carlile is the independent reviewer of terror laws for the government.

He said: "I would expect a light and gentle touch to be applied to ensure that he [Mr Mohamed] is not harassed in any way by the authorities and is given every opportunity, subject to the law, to integrate himself back into British society."

So it looks like he may be able to stay...After what he's been thru at British hands...Would he want to?? Still he must be totally traumatised and I really hope he is given everything he needs here!

Well, if I were Mr. Mohamed, I would not
want to remain in Britain. It's my solemn
hope and prayer that your govt.will leave him
be, as you said, considering everything
they've put him thru already.
Thanks for the update, Jackie, it is
most appreciated!

I'd like to know what he was doing in Pakistan in the first place and under what circumstances he was arrested. Until then I'll reserve my comment.
