It has been used for years in the US to "prevent" tooth decay -- I had flouride treatments every 6 months throughout my childhood. My teeth did not get cavities, but I believe it is a contributor to the early onset of periodontal structual damage I have today. It is not effective, they know it, but still push it on unknowing parents!

I just paid $18.00 for a tube of FLOURIDE paste! I have only heard that it prevents cavities. OMG! What does this say about a government that would allow this poisonous substance to be dispensed just so that money can be made???? Probably the same 'leaders' that allow illegals to get FREE health care while me, a poor U.S. citizen can NOT!

Thanks for posting Scott. I drink from a stainless water bottle and use an organic toothpaste...however, most of my life, I've been a victim like the rest of us....with toxins hidden in almost everything we eat and drink, let alone what we take in from breathing the air around us. What a world we are leaving to the younger generation! I'm encouraged that there is a ground-swell of people and organizations that are fighting to stop this madness and find healthy solutions.

Flouride is in some toothpastes, but you can brands that do not contain Flouide in it, or use a small solution of salt and hydorgen Peroxide. Put some salt in the palm of your hand and mix in a small amount of Hydrogen Peroxide to form a paste. Then clean you teeth and gums. It will help prevent Gingivitis and periodontal disease. Many Dentists recommend this, especially after having an extraction. Rinse you mouth with mouthwash instead of water. If you rinse with tap water don't swallow it.

As Paracelsus, the father of toxicology, said about 500 years ago: "All things are poison and nothing is without poison, only the dose permits something not to be poisonous."

Even pure water can poison if enough is ingested - people have died in water drinking contests beacuse is drove the electrolyte concetration in their brain too low (it can also happen when drining water without salt after heavy exercise). - Should we stop drinking water because of this ?

Just like correctly dosed water can benefit you, correctly dosed flouride compounds can benefit you and will not harm you.

Why do people always seem to be much more willing to listen to antiscientific fear mongers, than the people who have spent considerable time and effort to study and document the benefits and dangers of doing something ?

And its not somethin coocked up in a lab - it was discovered by studying people who had been drinking water contaminated by flouride from minerals in the ground (they had brown stained, but extremely sturdy teeth and the flouride was dicovered to be the cause)

Hey Scott go to mercola.com there are a lot of things that is poisonous. Dr. Mercola is an osteopathic Doctor. They are doctors who use drugs only as a last resort. You will be surprised at the things you learn from there from scientists.

Many say well if my Doctor say so I will believe whatever he says but they refuse to take heed to the scientists. Many do not know that the doctors get there information from the scientists so who has the correct answers the scientists who refuse to get paid by the food lobbyist.

Thank you for posting this Scott. Fluoride is found in much higher levels in most food, than in water. It is certified as GRAS (generally recognized as safe) and therefore is in organics as well. Processed foods, meats, grains and grape juice have the highest levels. This is one of the causes of the 'obesity epidemic', IBIS, ADD and a slew of other 'new' health problems, as well as a contributing factor in the rise of some cancers and general UN-health of our nation.

Why it is in our water and as of 2005, permanantly allowed in food is a long and complex story. Everyone should look into this and adjust their diet accordingly.

Claiming that flouride is added to the water as part of a secret plan to exert mind control over the population, sure as hell is a conspiracy thoery. That the concentration camp inmates should have been complacent is an utterly idiotic claim - apathy is not the same as complacency and is a well known consequence of the brutal abuse the inmates were subjected to without having to resort to some covert drugging.

In another thread I have noted that you have refered to the "New World Order", which is probably the number one conspiracy theory in the world right now.
