To sum up: religious faith is the "leap" required to accept a revelation as true. And once this leap of faith is made, one becomes a member of a like-minded community of believers and enters into their customs, practices and rituals..get conscious

The debate concerning intelligent design and evolution has revealed some confusion about the concept of religious faith.

What constitutes religious faith? Traditionally, religious faith refers to a belief in a particular revelation, a specially delivered message, something we couldn't figure out by reason alone.

Thus, the Jewish people have faith in the revelation they believe was given to Abraham and is contained principally in the Torah.

Muslims believe in the message given to Muhammad by the angel Gabriel and recorded in the Quran.

Buddhists believe in the revelation that came to Siddhartha Gautama and will lead them along the eightfold path to Nirvana.

To sum up: religious faith is the "leap" required to accept a revelation as true. And once this leap of faith is made, one becomes a member of a like-minded community of believers and enters into their customs, practices and rituals.

On the other hand, an intelligent design theorist thinks more along the following lines. He observes, say, the traveling pattern of our own planet Earth, streaking faithfully through the skies and around the sun at approximately 65,000 mph and rotating at approximately 1000 mph. In addition, the Moon's orbit around us is also quite steady.

In fact, these orbits are followed with such regularity that we humans have translated this reliability into our days, months and years. Furthermore, our exact distance from the sun allows life to flourish here. Indeed if we were only a slight distance farther from the sun, we would freeze; a slight distance closer, we would fry.

An intelligent design theorist would find it very difficult to attribute this particular earthly pattern to random luck, or to some kind of blind force unaware of itself or of its own intentions. He would find it difficult because from his own human experience, he has learned that chance does not ordinarily produce such order.

Sorry, but that is not a very persuasive argument. Random chance is all around us and happens hundreds if not thousands of times every day. A far better argument would be that scientists have been searching for the missing link for ages, but have still not found it for humans while they have found numerous links in most other plants and animals they have researched?

proof a God came to me while doing research on Et's and a valid source shared that the Et when asked about God said that they believed in a Universal Creator. Since et's are more advanced or perhaps evolved then us ,i took this as more proof that God exists. Robert Monroe and Neem Karoli's info shared on this topic was the other proof i hold .

God, doesn't want us to exist in a "easy-street" enviorment since that can breed lazyness . So the pain pleasure,heaven-hell interface seems to be the correct enviroment for change and growth. So, we have disease and predators part of a design ,in a sense, to force us to stay healthy and strong (basically)... Well ,lets say its my present opinon : )

Except there's no proof that ETs exist either. Major fallacy to your argument.

It does not make any sense for humans to make tries to find out about God. They will not find out, but can see the creation that shows God's intentions, rules, orders ond directions. Humans better should care for their planet and the envirement before they deal with the highest challenge. Do not believe that any alien can tell you about God.

Even if ETs do exist and they have related to you that there is a supreme being it is certainly not the god of the bible they are referring to; further it is very likely they are not referring to a single entity but a collective consciousness. If you read translations of ancient text you will understand that the god of the bible was an ET and there wasn’t just one, but a whole bunch of them. Those gods educated the ancient people in many things; one of which was how Earth came to exist and the existence of all of the bodies in our solar system, what they looked like, their size and their position in the solar system. Those ancient texts were dead on the money about what they knew about our solar system long before we discovered the information for ourselves. I mention this because it gives credibility to another creation that is in the same ancient texts. That creation is modern humans. According to those texts humans were created by combining the DNA of the ETs with the DNA of an intelligent indigenous creature native to Earth. Humans were not created to worship the ETs as gods; we were created because they needed a slave labor force to work in their gold mines and later to worship them, serve them and fight their wars when they had disagreements among themselves.

Mr Criswell talks about the info that is also shared by the disclosure project, somewhere in the interview he has info on that they believe in God.
It was mentioned in other sources,,, God created them as well and some are not so good. I can understand why many are scared of them, just as we drug and tag various wild animals to study them or to even intervien if theres a bio threat to their existence. So just cause the grab you durring the night and tag you with a implant doesn't mean they are screwing with you. I've read numerous books on this and apply my i investigative skills as well as my own personel experiences. I'll end in saying don't let the bad aliens spoil the show! Anyhow, back to God.... on another previous reply i shared a long interview on google with Thomas Mellon Benedict which doesn't get going good til 25 mins into.... there is valuable info on God there , God as a light being that can shape change.

If a complex and orderly construct of the universe implies a designer then what about the most complex and orderly construct of all: god. Surely such a complex creature MUST have been intelligently designed....

ID is nothing more nor less than a back-door route to Creationism. And its proponents began banging their little drum only when our schools were finally told to rid themselves of the religious dogma of years past.

Ralph :"A far better argument would be that scientists have been searching for the missing link for ages, but have still not found it for humans while they have found numerous links in most other plants and animals they have researched?"

I am not sure you understand what those links actually are. Otherwise, you wouldn't say they are missing in humans but have been found in plants and animals. Anyway, the whole missing link concept is misleading.

I agree with you, Francois. In general, the theory of evolution is proven. There will always be gaps and even differences of opinion in terms of some details. But the overall concept is without question accepted - for all living things.

If God was a creative alien which Im open to, Then im not supprised he/she it doese not show. Evolution theory doese not take away design the Kabbalah describes God as Unmanifest and his role was to create and allowed things to develop of their own accord (basically)

True, Pete. I am glad to see more and more religions, such as Catholicism, which have accepted that their own god created the evolutionary process as a means of populating this planet over a period of billions of years. Because, although the "intelligent design" portion of that belief has not been proven scientific, it does allows religion and science to co-exist without quarrel (at least in that area of discussion.)
