#i don't understand why the ~US government has to recognise the tribes. The government knew of the tribes existence when they tried to destroy them all by genocide and refused to support the law when it was on their side. Surely if a tribe existed, recognised or not, they are as entitled to their lands as any other homeowner. In fact, more so since it was theirs before the whites stole it then insisted on paperwork!

Yeah a cute (said snidely) conundrum. It stinks to high heaven and we need a new supreme court.
