The U.S. Postal Service, which has been dying for years due to the advent of the fax, e-mail, and overnight delivery, may finally be close to its last act.

Very sad about this. Does it mean postal employees will loose their jobs ?

The US Postal Service lost $2 billion of taxpayer (our) money last year while even in tough economic times FedEx and UPS made profits. And we want the government to run health care?

If they had removed most of the inept staff years ago I think the postal service might have survived the competition from UPS and Fedex. But to stand in line for ages on each visit while the staff leave to go to lunch when clearly the line is out the door is not good business practice nor good customer service. Unless I absolutely have to I don't use the post office for anything at all.
