A powerful new treaty is our best weapon against the global rape trade in women and girls. If Russia signs it, it will put a major dent in this horror -

Noted, signed. But I have friends who lived in Russia. I don't believe signing a paper is going to stop Russian Mafia in this. They went from RKGB to RM. They will not give up so easily.

Signed-- thank you very much, Cal!!

This poor girl's family has suffered unimaginably-- I just hope the heroic actions of her father are taken to heart by the Russian govt.---as Ramona said, we shouldn't hold our breath--but if we don't sign, then we can be sure NOTHING will happen. International pressure does mean something and the whole world is unimpressed with Russia.

I'd like to take this opportunity to openly invite everyone to join the Care2 group SLAVERY TODAY---we're a group of abolitionists working to educate ourselves on human trafficking issues and take action against modern-day slavery in all its forms! Please join us in signing petitions, spreading awareness and learning how we can do more in our everyday lives to make a difference. Visit the link below to join:

Thank you again and hope to see you there!

Signed. What disturbs me almost as much as the horror itself is lack of attention paid to it. If we were talking about dogs, for instance, there would be thousands of signatures more! Sad..

I signed this a month ago and I am amazed that there are not that many more signatures today. I would have thought that this was an issue that people found to be more important? I find the existence of human trafficking, the deception and the cruelty, just heart breaking. It has destroyed any faith in humanity that was left in me.

What a terrible story. This has to be stopped once and for all. It is hard to put words to how one feels when one hear about it and all those poor children and women who are getting exposed to this horror. My thoughts goes to the father and family.

Some people are beyond redemption. It's possible that this type of person, belongs in this category.

Sadly, this subject is arduous for people to comprehend. Many don't like to admit that this happens to young human beings. We forget that it happens right here, in the good old U.S. of A.

It is absolutely horrible! and those countries where are the destinations must act responsibly...if there is no demand there, there won't be any supply then...
