Panama Latest to Sign Up to Tribal Peoples' Law

Panama has pledged to ratify the international law for tribal peoples, ILO Convention 169, becoming the latest country to show its commitment to the rights of indigenous and tribal peoples.

The superior attitude of many people to tribal people has always puzzled me. They are human beings. That means that they have full human rights, at least in my opinion. I'm glad that they have ratified some of those human rights now. Actually, often they are the original owners of the land that the "superior" people inhabit. As such, they should have extra respect as well as rights.
