As tens of thousands of Americans become energy magnates in their own backyards, tens of thousands more worry about environmental dangers.

Within the article it said:
"I owned my mineral rights," Hilliard says defiantly. "So I'm not doing anything wrong." Hilliard, owner of a wholesale lumber business, would not disclose what he was paid for the lease or gas royalties.

Legally not doing anything wrong......however at what cost to the environment? Most who sold out to the Corporations have or had no knowledge of what it would take to extract this gas. Of coarse they are not told that either in detail. So the few will make some big money, can eventually move away as they most likely will have to, was it worth it to destroy their town? Their neighborhood? The local water supply? After awhile it becomes where can one more to that isn't destroyed?

There is a Cree Prophecy:
Only after the last tree has been cut down; Only after the last fish has been caught; Only after the last river has been poisoned; Only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten.

I agree - legally they are not doing anything wrong, but no one knows for sure what the effects will be in 10, 20, 30 years.

This fracking bussiness shows what mankind is willing to do to earn a couple of dollars.

But what will all these dollars be good for when Nature doesn't exsist anymore?
