Not only has he done more for the gay community than any president in history, but some of his Republican challengers are threatening to undo all of the gay good he's already done if elected

Well then, he'd better be reelected! Otherwise the USA will really become ossified and will never emerge from darkness into light. When I was younger, a long, long time ago, I saw some of the results of the cruelty of of early 20th Century society to gay people in the long stay mental hospital wards where I worked. I tried to be as kind as possible to those men, but they were beyond redemption.
No one could possibly be "godly" by being cruel to fellow beings.

LZ Gunderson, the columnist, rightly points out Obama is the lesser of two evils on this issue. It's the same on the environment and immigration. As much as we desperately need legislation on pollution and climate change, he is unable to approach it due to Republican opposition and rhetoric. As much as I loath this capitulation, it is sadly a part of political life. Think back to George Bush (or ahead to Rick Perry) to consider the frightening alternative. I still believe Hillary would have made a better President, for just this reason.

Unless the man actually comes out in favor of gay marriage, this political double talk means nothing. He declared June to be lesbian and gay month. What does that mean, unless there is legislation supporting it? People are not stupid. We know when a politician is playing politics.

Jon Hoy, that was funny! But seriously, we just need a President with b*lls (whether female or male) who can speak the truth and declare that America supports equality for gender expression. If you cannot be the person you were born to be and love the consenting adult you desire to then you're going to be miserable and feel imprisoned this lifetime.

Homophobia is NOT a Good Trait in one self.

Everyone knows President Obama is the Gay and Lesbian's best friend despite his hesitance to scream it from the rooftops. Reelect Obama in 2012 and have him bring along a filibuster proof majority in the Senate and TAKE BACK THE HOUSE. Then just watch him right all the wrongs the repub/con/teabaggers have foisted upon the Middle Class, Women, Children, and the country in general. Recall/Vote out anyone with an "R" next to his/her name.
