At 211°, water is hot. At 212°, it boils. That one extra degree makes all the difference. Are you content with just being pretty good? Or are you ready to go the extra degree?

And yet I feel like a whipped puppy:(
The only thing that truly inspires me any more is when I see direct actions winning our wars against cruelty.
Thank you Cal, it was beautiful, I think I'm just in a slump.

Thank you Cal, it really is true, that one extra degree that seems like nothing, but makes everything different. That's like the 100th monkey theory, what we are going through as a human consciousness right now, that 2012 phenomenon. We are about to reach 212 degrees, being at 211 degrees at the time being. That's pretty amazing to consider.

keep on truckin! If you believe in evolution- we wouldn't be here if the first fish hadn't taken the effort to crawl out of the ocean.

Lovely though the video is, I have a slightly different view. I've made that extra effort for so long now I'm burned out and have recently developed a stress related medical condition, despite doing all the right things to take care of myself. As companies lay off people right and left and the rest of us are made to make up the difference in increased output, constantly putting in that extra degree starts to have a downside.

Good and inspirational post Cal, thanks for showing it to us.

But please don't let the talk about global warming make you expect any bad thing in the future. Ok there is such things, as we can see this is human made fate, we can avoid it, don't let some parties in this world to implement their evil plans and destroy our world in the name of Global warming. We should be aware of that.

There are not many things we can be sure of in this world, but one thing is sure and that is knowing God will stand true to His Word. He will bring to pass all things you have faith to receive. His heartís desire is that you and I enjoy everything Jesus died to give us.

He is our Great God, our Loving Father, our Faithful King and the Giver of all things we have need of.

Praise His Holy Name!

No Pressure then Cal? What about the Buddha's 'middle way' and non-attachment?

I really like this inspirational short video. However, you can want something really badly and still not have the ability or power to make it happen. I REALLY want endangered animals to STOP being endangered - so I sign every petition I can, I send in donations, I try to live my life in a way that reduces my impact, but are there fewer endangered animals? I REALLY want the over-population of the planet to stop. My husband and I chose not to have kids, but did our decision stop world over-population? I REALLY want there to be less pollution (air, water, land) and try to do my best (My 79 year old mom and I adopted our street and just came in from picking up the garbage again. We do this several times a week, but does it keep people from chucking their f'n trash out of their cars. I pick up garbage off the beach or streets when I go on holiday, but does that save the millions of animals who die from waterborne garbage? No.) I will keep trying, but my affects are so miniscule that they are hardly noticeable and often just piss off the people who I try to educate. Perhaps if this short video would become a commercial on tv and movie theatres it would get a few more people to try, but likely the only people it would have an impact on are the ones who are already trying.
