Not shocking..though under the guise of UN peacekeepers its troubling.
But President Martelly should also look towards his own people charged with keeping order and realize why UN peacekeepers are still needed..or just ask the women, and those still recieving (or at least trying to) foriegn aid.

I wonder whether there would have been an outcry if it had been an 18 year old woman that had been gang raped?
This kind of behavior appears to be not all that unusual in the navies of the world.

Horrible.... I try to put myself in the position of this young man's mother, and I honestly think I would be capable of "serious damage" to his attackers. I just can't understand how people can be so cruel. Very sad....

It's awful. I also learned that there is 200 deaf people living in a very tight tents( about forty people sharing beds). Lots of people didnt bother to let deaf people to know that there is red cross delivery foods! They were not aware about it. They did not have foods for a while They do not know where to go. That is shame. Me and my friend are trying to find a way how to get money to help build a place for all deaf people. Deaf people depending on sign language. So we have someone who is taking care for deaf people. So we are working to find a way to help Deaf people to find a better job, and place where they can lay thier heads. Please pray for deaf people and for us. Thank you

When someone does this in the uniform of a nation or international organization, it only brings anger & thoughts of revenge against that nation or organization. Somehow, the moral quality of peace-keeping or aid operations must be instilled along with actual physical or logistical support.
