The brutality is as if the protesters are the ememies of the Police - we are all in this together - or not - if one disagrees with such a protest - but the Police should be protecting the protesters rights - not treating them as ememies of the USA !

I've signed. I also decided to google and see who owned Zuccotti Park. It's owned by Brookfield Properties. One of the board members is Diana Taylor, who happens to be Bloomberg's long time live in girlfriend. She's also on the board of Citgroup. Check out LittleSis.org for more information.

I cheer them on with every protest moment they have, They are doing great things and they have my utmost respect. Far from being a mensch ( a good man in Yiddish) he's turned out to be a real putz (I won't translate but it's not good-he'd know what it means).

I have a greater possibility to be violently arrested for exercising my 1st Amendment rights, than I would if I were a banker or Wall Street broker who defrauded millions of their life savings and crashed the economy. For all I wish that the mayors of all the cities in the US would protect the protesters rather than violently arrest them with trumped up excuses, I also have to thank them for calling vivid attention to one of the many things that are wrong, i.e. that wealthy criminals are NOT being arrested and prosecuted, while ordinary citizens exercising their rights are.

Thank you, Cal Signed and shared on FB! Ralph, I went to the White House sight you gave and as is often the case I couldn't sign. sometimes I wonder if that is deliberate.

Signed. Thanks for posting, Cal. I'm unable to send you another green star this week--would send you many if I could! Lots of great comments here, too. I don't know for sure, but I'm terribly afraid that unless we "undo" the Patriot Act, it will continue to trump our First Amendment rights. I'd love to see some lawsuits in court over this, but ultimately, I'm afraid SCOTUS will only bow to the 1%. Keep occupying!

"Signed"

I am not sure if this applies only to residents of the United States of America, but since only Name & Surname and e-mail are required, I "signed" anyway. I am not keen on ForceChange petitions because it is not possible to see how many people have "signed" or which petitions I have "signed". The police are nothing but bullies in the name of the state; they are more concerned with protecting some so-called "order" than with helping real people.

Can't help but resent the license some of these police officers seem to feel they have to dispense punishment for what they consider "law breaking" while making the arrests the offenders aren't resisting. In too many cases they seem to be trying to provoke resistance to justify harsh action even when not warranted.
