Well, there we go again: making economic profit based on exploitation of society and nature. We need to learn to perceive reality holistic, hence including concern for all parts: the economy, society and nature. If we continue on this lop-sided road, we will destroy the very foundation on which we create economic benefits; we will destroy life itself.

Thank you Cal, I will cross-post in our group Forests and Trees. If anyone is interested to join, feel welcome, this is the homepage:

And here we go again, sigh. Thanks for posting this, Cal. Yet another reason to to stop using fossil fuels...and India with all that sunshine. Just think if everyone had solar (or wind) and made their own electricity...oh yeah, then we wouldn't be under the thumb of the big power companies...they wouldn't want that!

THERE IS CLEARLY SOMETHING 'UNHOLY' and HERETICAL for A 'SENATE', PRAESIDIUM or 'HOUSE of LORDS' for the WORLD COMMUNITY to 'SUBSIDISE' MORALLY, ETHICALLY or OTHERWISE, DEFORESTATION of GREEN-FIELD FORESTS to MAKE WAY FOR THE 'FIRING' of POWER-STATIONS WITH FOSSILISED PREVIOUS GENERATIONS OF THOSE VERY SAME FORESTS WHOSE DESTRUCTION IN THEIR PRIME IT, THE UN, IS BACKING !! It is incomprehensible, tragic, contradictory and irrational and the UN AND ITS RELEVANT AGENCIES MUST SET ABOUT RECTIFYING THIS BIZARRE STATE OF AFFAIRS !! Please 'SUM BUDDY; in New York, Geneva, Rome Nairobi, the Hague or where-ever DO SOMETHING ABOUT this wholly unwholesome situation !!!

SInce UN also have an enviroment department, they obvioulsy don't know what the other is doing!!!!! When UN is doing things like this, how on earth are we then going to stop destruction of the earth? Maybe it's time to re-organize UN and start a new?

The UN once again shows that first, they serve the interests of some and second, that's time for a new organization to take its place. One that really works for a better world where nature, human rights and peace are what really matters.
