If Charlotte officials fear having another Chicago '68 on their hands, they're hoping to take one essential weapon out of the hands of activists: their tents

Anyone old enough to have lived in Chicago in 1968 ... and remember the DNC and all its "events" in and out of the convention center?

Why isn't Occupy reclaiming EVERYTHING under Eminent Domain??? You know... For the public good... That's the premise...so why are corporations the only ones using it???

If I was leading the convention, I would not disturb the Occupy people but would establish a dialogue with them. Perhaps I should ask them to prepare a list of their concerns so that they could be included int he convention's deliberations.

as a resident of NC and a believer in FREE SPEECH, I am outraged at the arrogance displayed yet again by the dumb nut democrats. We will be there in one way or another. Another reason why I will NOT VOTE FOR OBAMA.

This is ridiculous,Occupy has every right to be there.Give them park space( Freedom Park would be good) to camp and let them represent us...if I didn't have health issues I would be there with them.

"Outraged at the arrogance displayed yet again by the dumb nut democrats????" Well then, Obama supporters don't want your vote, so keep supporting the arrogant dumb nut tea party with their anti-American, anti- middle class, racist, bigoted, signs. I ask, "Is it the Democrats who are nuts???" Think again -- that is if Fox people are still able to think for themselves. Believing in Free Speech ONLY IF the content of the speech is what YOU believe, is NOT free speech at all!!!
I will happily vote for Obama and all Democrats in 2012 - to protect ALL American values - with Liberty and Justice for ALL!
