The Republican Party, which has long fought big government in favor of privatization, has turned to regulating women's private parts -- or at least that's how many on the left see it.

"Parts is Parts" and people in general really don't need/want others telling them how to manage their personal..parts.... via someone elses regulations. Hitler tried that and it didn't work then nor will it now.

It would also seem obvious that when a part needs health care be it preventive/emergency or general maintanence for over all health..both pysical or mental... should be taken care for and covered va insurance the same for all 'parts'. As to other things to do with ones personal parts...those also do not need the medling of others and their restrictions/regulations placed upon them either in my opinion.

The 'rightwing' does seem to have an obsession/abundent fetishes on their minds, and extremely so, when it comes to 'parts' in general....

The counterpart to eugenics...would they feel as strongly if fewer Anglosaxon mothers were choosing abortion so that their birthrates were the highest in the nation ensuring continued political control?

"...a bill that would require men seeking erectile dysfunction drugs to submit an affidavit from a sexual partner to certify impotence, see a sex therapist, receive counseling, undergo a cardiac stress test and be warned of risks and complications"

Yay! for our Creative Lawmakers! This is GREAT!
And, thank goodness for our FEMALE lawmakers! Bless 'em!

Thanks, Cal, noted and shared. I love that Facebook has become a battle front! I have done several forays into that arena myself! I hope the legislators fighting back with penis laws WILL unite and make even larger impact on this! As well as women and men who think this is the biggest load of crap they've ever heard...and very dangerous crap! These people are very afraid that the days of Judeo-Christian/white patriarchal power are waning. Let's make sure their fears are realized!

If more women don't realize that their rights are speedily being taken away by the narrow minded politicians and don't act by voting them out of office, there will come a day when they will ask themselves, what happened to my rights?? By that time it will be too late. The future of women who have to put up with all this bull of contraception, abortion and many others is leading them down the path to second class citizenship. Women have so much power but they don't realize it. If women went on strike in the kitchen and the bedroom I believe things would change quickly and for the better.

These republiCON's make me puke. They're the ones whining about big government then vote to control women's private parts. They're anti-women and girls by making the point to their sicko religious fanatics who'll vote for them because they're against a women's right to choose. Stupid voters, stupid repugs. All our rights are being destroyed by these extremists in wolves clothing.

Consider, Palin wants a return to Pre-Civil War America but I am sure she is too damn stupid to realize that she would no longer have the vote or the right to even pretend to run for office or attend many of the schools she sort of attended. Santorum, the Catholic Bishops, NOM, et alia want to return to the Iron Age mainly because they never actually READ the Bible they so publicly hump to re-enslave women and return to the marriage purity of their Bible. The problem is that they have become so accustomed to what they have been told their Bible says and what they want their Bible to justify that they simply no longer pay any attention to what it actually does and does not say. Although many accept the evolution of Biblical interpretation application, while refusing to admit that any of it has actually occurred, you know little things like slavery, the sex slavery of concubines,polygamy, coerced marriage, selling female children, the abuse of female child virgins of your enemies, exterminating all the men, boys and used women of your conquered enemies, divorce.... They will quite wrongly lie by saying that the New Testament abridges all of that and most of the Laws of Moses for them I give this Matthew 5:17-18;
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law of the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law[the Old Testament] until everything is accomplished.
Members of the Christian Taliban of America and their political flunkies intentionally forget that Jesus was, is, will always be(according to them) for ever and ever an unrepentant Orthodox Jew. There is absolutely no place in the Bible, OT or NT, that says 'Thou shalt not have sex with some one who does not want to have sex with you.' They are now engaged in an all out attempt to return women to the status of property by totally eliminating all women's right to control their own bodies and reproduction or making it either so onerous or unavailable to exercise, which is the same thing, a right you can not exercise is a right you do not have. And much of this is achieved by constantly framing all questions of religious freedom and the exercise there of as applying only to their exercise of their religion and no one else.

The right wing is against big government, Right ? NO, Not Right. They are only against 'big government' when the Federal Government Agencies clamp down on Big Business for Breaking the Law [ pollution, fraud, faulty merchandise, unsafe working conditions, etc. ]. The Right Wing House is supporting a bill that would make it ILLEGAL for the State of California to have any laws on the books that regulate pollution. Now, that IS Big Government. As long as the interests of the 99% are the priority of the Federal Gov. then they are against it. However, if they can pass Federal laws to STOP any State in the union from passing laws against the corporations, then they are for Federal Control and against States Rights. They don't give a Crap about States Rights or Big Government, they only care about their agenda and any way to bring it about is fine with them. Their immediate agenda is control. Total control of the means of production [Corporations rule] and total control of the means of reproduction [women have no control over their bodies [sexuality & fecundity].

Don't ask me why I would think of the Vagina Monologues, but with all the War on Women from the Republican/Teabaggers, I am getting sick of their misogyny. And in the face of such absurdity, I often turn to humour. Can't you just hear the following monologues playing?

The Vagina Monologues --- The Vagina vs The Republicon/Teabaggers
The Vagina Monologues --- Not With My Vote!
The Vagina Monologues --- Is that a meat probe?
The Vagina Monologues --- The Vagina vs The Council of Catholic Bishops
The Vagina Monologues --- The Vagina, Sanctified by Santorum

I am woman, hear me ROAR!

Apparently, women's parts are the only thing Republicans think the government should regulate.
