Great minds think alike. I submitted this story just a few hours ago. Get the word out have as many as possible read it, and understand. Today is a remembrance for the only true hero for these down trodden people, Cesar Chavez.
March 31, Cesar Chavez Day.

I watched these workers as a kid in California, and even at a young age knew their treatment was wrong.
Please go to the UFW webpage and sign a few petitions :-)

NOTED - Shared & told readers to go to UFW website & start actively being an ally to farm workers. USA non-union farm workers are CHATTEL SLAVES here in the USA.

OK, what can we do besides sign a petition?

Lauren, there are at least two things that people can do.
1. Keep up with the United Farm Workers ( news. While they are still fighting for justice for the
workers.......Many of the owners are still as evil as ever.
2. Make a donation to the UFW. It does not have to be much. Even a small donation is appreciated.

We must lend our voices to the fight against the exploitation, injustice, and inhumanity which are everyday indignity and health issues cast upon farmworkers.

This is VERY wrong to treat these poor people like slaves. Somebody has to do this job and they should NOT be treated like they are nothing. They SHOULD be treated decent and paid a good wage for the hard work they do. And this IS hard work. MOST people would NOT get out in these fields and work in the heat with no breaks and long hours. This is CRUELTY and it needs to STOP. Treat these people BETTER, they deserve it!!!!
