Free Tibet activists were arrested in India ahead of the Chinese president's visit to New Delhi, and though India is home to an estimated 150,000 Tibetan refugees, their welcome may be wearing out.

Just a few days ago I read an article about the plight of the people of Bangladesh --at the hands of the government of India-- and now Tibetan refugees?

Why isn't China's welcome wearing out? China invaded Tibet and occupies it, killing, intimidating, abusing, traumatizing, removing freedoms from some of the kindest and most generous people on the planet. This is a perfect time to PROTEST CHINA.

Never give up.
No matter what is going on around you
Never give up
And I say again
Work for peace
In your heart and in the world
Work for peace
Be compassionate
But to everyone
Not just to your friends
Be compassionate
Instead of the heart
Is spent developing the mind
Too much energy in your country
Develop the heart
Never give up
No matter what is going on
~ His Holiness the Dalai Lama

When China stormed into Tibet years ago and took over, it did so under the pretext that it considered Tibet part of China for centuries if not millenias. The trouble is, like all conquerors, they forgot to ask the Tibetan people about their view before invading. These gentle people are no threat to the Chinese, so what is it in the land and the people that the Chinese want so badly? China needs to stop this imperialistic march and give Tibet back to the Tibetan people. India needs to stop kowtowing to China, and remember their own history in breaking with British rule, in dividing with West Pakistan (now Pakistan) and East Pakistan (now Bangladesh).
