If these darn oil companies and associated businesses would think about long term profit instead of a quick buck, they could build low or no leakage pipelines, minimise problems at land and ocean base oil drill rigs and be able to completely contain the few that did go sour, and not have long term spill responsibilities to worry about because prompt and effective containment and cleanup would be routine. 'Look at this, no lawsuits!' would be the only trace when everything works near or completely right.

If we're building these pipelines with Chinese steel then I'm not the least surprised when they leak. Any steel that was made in this country is far superior to what is coming out of China and that information is coming from my son who is an architectural blacksmith.
