Wall street is like House dealer from a Casino house where tell next How high or low can it goes. Not just oil, but Gold/ silver, currency exchange, insurance, controlled by Wall Street. American Wall Street analysis dialogue on employment, Global company, world government base on good/ poor rating. So they can invest or dump stock.

Up to $14 of every tank of gas you fill up is the result of oil speculation

Americans are getting screwed at the gas pump. But it has nothing to do with supply and demand or instability in the Middle East. Instead - it has to do with corruption. As investigative reporter Lee Fang at the Republic Report uncovered - a slew of lobbyists are working on behalf of Wall Street to shoot down regulations intended to curb oil speculation.

Bart Chilton, a commissioner with the Commodities Futures Trading Commission, said that as much as $14 in every tank of gas you fill up in your truck is a result of excessive oil speculation. That comes out to a $750 a year tax on all drivers courtesy of Wall Street banksters.

Unfortunately for Americans who can't afford these inflated gas prices - the top Republican financial watchdog in Congress - Representative Spencer Bachus -believes that his job is not to regulate the banks, but instead "regulators are there to serve the banks."

Certainly they have a slew of lobbyist, and if it isn't the lobbyist the ones who are suppose to represent us have a stake in the oil futures themselves. Corruption run amuck.

I placed an article on here not long ago, how the CEO of Exxon has more power than the President of the United States. Need anymore be said as to why we haven't had a National Policy to go to green fuels and get off of oil. Remember how in the 1970's we thought it was a done deal, that this Country would be fully off oil by now. Not when a CEO carries more power than the head of our Country. We also should demand better Mass Public Transportation that really serves everyone; more LOCAL food, farms and buying, so that less is spent on transport; and Railroads more than trucks to move goods over distances.

Excellent advice, BMutiny. I can only thing of one thing to add. Bring your own home made cloth sacks to the farmers market. Those plastic bags will last forever in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and they are made of petroleum.
