Thanks Cal. We humans are still evolving in multitudes of ways, including social aspects of living together with intelligence, love and respect - or not. With the increased human population and individualality, what was appropriate thousands years ago, is not in our present social, and other view points of this world, situations. Adaptations to the realities of now and possible survival of the future are needed. Those should include same sex marriage for the stabilties of partnerships.

Like Barbcat says to each his own but don't inflict your values on others. I don't believe this or religion belongs in politics, nor should it be a matter of governance. As to his re-election bid, I doubt this should have any impact as the screwed up economy and environment under his guidance speak loudly enough.

I agree with Barbcat too.

That was a defining moment in an election year, in the midst of a campaign where he knows his opposition will use this to fan the fires of the fanatics who follow them. Very brave, I'm proud to be a citizen of this great nation under this President's leadership.

John Gregoire, with all due respect, you've got it all wrong. "The screwed up economy and environment under his guidance," is a screwed up statement. He inherited the screwed up economy and environment from the last republican president, GW. President Obama would have gotten us out of this mess long ago if the teabaggers didn't make a pact with the Devil saying they will IN NO WAY EVER do anything to help him make the economy better. They signed a pact! Frig them! Teabagger/republicans are counting on the economy going in the toilet so they can take over a desperately weakened country. President Obama will win reelection and every teabagger/republican will be booted out of office! THAT will be a great day for America.
