Indigenous leaders from all over South America are making their way by foot, canoe and eventually on buses to be part of the Kari-Oca Caravan to Rio de Janeiro, to talk to world leaders at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, Rio+20.

Wherever you are there once was a forest.
Plant & protect Danny's trees for life.
Trees are the lungs of the earth.

I hope the world leaders listen to what these people have to say, if anyone knows the land they do. Thanks Cal for sharing

Thanks Cal for the posting. Read and Noted. Amazing! The article doesn't say how far Moi Enomenga had to go to catch the bus but good grief a 9 day trip by bus and we're not talking Greyhound bus either. That is dedication to his cause and I loved his quote " Not everyone can hear the voice of Mother Earth from the jungle, and we want to bring that voice to Rio,” The representatives to United Nations Conference on Sustainable had better listen to these earth-wise people.

Man should have remained a caveman.
Lived off the land as needed & walked
from here to there to never miss the
beauty & wonders of Mother Nature.

And as time goes by man will miss
everything there is in his rush to
conquer every pebble, stone and

Wherever you go there once was a forest.
Plant & protect Danny's trees for life.
Trees are the lungs of the earth.

We need to find an alternative to money, which is making evil from goodness, separating life and people, making profane from all that is sacred, causing so much cruelty, blindness, suffering and misplaced priorities.

"There are two uncontacted communities near my home but there is the threat of oil exploration. They don’t want this. For them, taking the oil out of the ground is like taking blood out of their bodies,” he said.

This is same concept of American Indian and First Nations people who suffered and lost their populations in large numbers from the colonialization. This happens all around the world to other people whose lives are cut short from this unthinking thirst for more and more and to use energy that is dirty to our above world.

Now it is in everyone's neighborhoods, with fracking, mountaintop removal, as they exhaust the supply from the more remote areas, so is coming to your backyard. With that comes pollution that will cause a decline in your populations as well, the indigeneous are the canaries in the coal are next!

There is energy in the above world, wind, sun, thermo, algae, that we do not need to be digging into our Mothers veins. There message is simple, "leave everything beneath" but it has strong power in those words.
