No doubt, Mittens and the Greedy Ol Psychopaths are still probably trying to figure out how to privatize immigration. Like a stay to play system. Anything for a buck...

Does it really matter what his position on any issue happens to be today? If it turns out to be unpopular, he'll just change it tomorrow. It's not the people that matter --just their votes...

Susanne, I think that is called "evolving."

Why shouldn't we give preference to those who follow the rules over those who break them? Rather than do the opposite, as is the case now?

Romney, will never do anything for Hispanics, Women, or Minorities or for the Middle Class or much less the Poor! They know the time is coming when America will be painted in a beautiful shade of blue, and there is nothing they can do to stop it! With every day that passes their time in the political Sun of America is fading. So the strategy now, is to try and draw out the Republican party’s time in office as long as possible, in order to try to grab for as much corporate lobbyist supplied plunder as possible! Mark my words, if you are Middle Class American or a Minority, by voting for the Republicans you will only hurt and not help your loved ones!

John S. -- "Evolving" would suggest that a gradual process was taking place. I don't think one can accurately use that word to describe doing a complete about face on an issue immediately after getting the results of a public opinion poll or in mid-sentence when being booed by an audience. A better choice of words might be waffling, flip flopping, pandering or even lying.

I agree that the timing of President Obama's announcement that he's in favor of same-sex marriage suggests that he's courting the gay vote. However, he's always defended gay rights --both in this country and overseas-- so it's not much of a stretch for him to be in favor of legalizing same-sex marriage. Public opinion on that subject has evolved as well. Most Americans are now in favor of legalizing it.

Oh, Frank, your comments are out there "they know the time is coming when America will be in a beautiful shade of blue, and there is nothing they can do to stop it....."

Perhaps you should revisit the tsunami election in 2010 removing the democrats out of congress and replacing them with republicans. How did that happen if what you say is true? Breathtaking.

Obama is deep trouble for re-election in November. How is that happening? Keep your feet on the ground, Frank, to keep your balance. Obama is worried. Have you seen his website on the Wedding Registry sites? You might want to visit that today. He is actually asking those buying wedding gifts to give to his campaign instead of buying a wedding gift for their family and friends. That doesn't sound like a slam dunk election in November.

Your thoughts on that? Obama simply has no shame.

Hi Susanne. Totally disagree with you on gay marriage. Gays and lesbians represent a very small percentage of our population. Most of our states have voted against gay marriage mainly because it simply isn't important to them. They don't impact their lives. Changing the meaning of our marriage vows for a small percentage of Americans won't happen in our country. I believe people should keep their sexual preferences to themselves and not subject other people to the details. Who people sleep with shouldn't be broadcasted in the media. It's personal. Perhaps when 30% to 40% of our society declares themselves as gay and lesbians they'll get some attention.

Hi Dianne. I didn't express a personal opinion on gay marriage, so if you disagree with me based on my comment, then you disagree with the fact that President Obama has always supported gay rights and it stands to reason that he would one-day support the legalization of same-sex marriage --because that's all I said.

30% to 40% of our society will never declare themselves as gay or lesbian because it's not a choice and it's not a contagious disease --and I believe that they HAVE gotten the public's attention. According to a Gallup poll of May 2012, "Fifty percent of Americans believe same-sex marriages should be recognized by law as valid, with the same rights as traditional marriages -- down slightly from 53% last year, but marking only the second time in Gallup's history of tracking this question that at least half of Americans have supported legal same-sex marriage. Forty-eight percent say such marriages should not be legal."

Also, I don't agree that "most of our states have voted against gay marriage mainly because it simply isn't important to them." I think the answer to lack of acceptance lies in the level of influence religious groups have on our government.

@ Diane O.

Sad to say Diane but you are completely wrong, because demographic statistics do not lie! Fact number one, most minorities tend to vote Democratic. Fact number two, if you look at the changing demographics time lapse map provided in the link below, you will see that by 2040 minorities will become the majority here in the United States of America, and they are a much younger up and coming voting group. Now with this in mind, it only takes a little research to realize that basically both the Republican and Tea Party will both be going downhill or even possibly finished by then. Fact number three, the Republican and Tea party right-wing voting base by 2040 will be composed of a lot of oldies but goodies by that time. Fortunately for the Democrats, most of the fading out remnant of the once powerful Red Republican Party will be running around looking for their dentures by then!
