Mr Netanyahu is between a rock and a hard place, but drafting in ultr-orthodox males could really be perilous. Maybe he should leave well enough alone.

This debate has been getting stronger and stronger as years pass. Sixty thousand people whom Israel supports because most do not work. They have been an increasing burden on Israel, and it's economy.
There has to come to a point where these people have to give back. Work in hospitals, train as EMT workers, drive ambulances.
This resentment between the less religious and the ultra religious will be an ugly confrontation.
