THIS ISSUE REALLY STEAMS ME UP...THE HOPI DESERVE THEIR WATER RIGHTS...AND THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO DO BUT STOP THIS LAND GRABBING NOW!! THE GOVERNMENT "LEADERS" WHO HAVE PUT THIS BILL NTO MOTION OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED. THE HOPI HAVE ALREADY LOST EVERYTHING. WHATEVER THEY HAVE NOW IS THEIRS FOREVER. NO MORE NATIVE OPPRESSION.
NEVER AGAIN!

I have lived many years in Arizona both as a child and an adult. I've visited the Hopi Reservation several times. They are a sacred people who have inhabited their mesas for longer than any other tribe or civilization in the US.

It is absolutely deplorable how corporations are running roughshod over all of us. The Hopi people in particular, scrach out a living on their barren land with native seed corn, squashes, beans, sheep. How on Earth does a corporation justify taking their water rights away.

It all started somewhere. It can stop somewhere too. KOYAANISQATSI is their word for "world out of balance"--that about covers it.

Instead of the majority fighting for the rights of the Hopi and any other group of the original Americans, we should be asking their permission, hypothetically speaking.

TAKE ACTION NOW! Protect Hopi Water: Hopi and the World: Stop Senate Bill 2109

If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Signed. Water is never to be bought, sold, dammed up, controlled. Water IS life. Also a metaphor for the inner spiritual current that sustains all.

Who makes up these bills and who gets to pass them? Always, politicians preferences over outs. How can that be? A small number of wo/men have so much control over our country. Vote them out. Let's take back control over our own back yard. ARGH!!!! So aggravating.
