He was never a looker but he was always good in any role even as Mermaid Man in Sponge Bob Squarepants, his advice on a long life was frequent masturbation, so it looks like we may be stuck with Tom Cruise for quite a while then.

I remember "Marty". Back in its day, it was unusual in that it wasn't a typical "Hollywood" film with glamorous stars and an escapist, unreal story. It was about real people leading real lives, people who weren't even "good-looking" by magazine model standards finding a place in the world. That took courage to make, then!

Billy Bush interviewed him not too long ago and he was delightful, very humble regarding his acting and a genuine man! He had a wonderful life, it seems, and he was a happy man. He looked wonderful and was in good health. 95, and so terrific. I hope there really is a Heaven because he is there. All the good people are together.

One of my earliest childhood memories is of watching McHale's Navy. Whenever I heard his name mentioned, I thought back to the "good old days" of TV.

What a character. 95, wow, that's good going, I hope he made the most of all those years and is now happily taking a well-earned rest.
