Excellent article! What happened to many of these childre Dr. Klinken asks in her book about these stolen children who were Timorese but who were made to become Indonesian. "Many of them just seemed to disappear." This article illustrates the tragic situation of so many children who not only had to witness the death and destruction of war, but also were taken from their families in East Timorese and forced to live in Indonesia and giving up an essential part of who they were- their identities and the rest of their lives, many will have to struggle with pysychological issues of finding out who they are and where they belong!

Thanks Cal for posting the article. Such a sad and dreadful story that has to be told. I hope Vitor da Costa's work with the NGO will bear fruit for many families and children that have been separated. Read and noted.
