Cree Prophecy:
When all the trees have been cut down,
When all the animals have been hunted,
When all the waters are polluted,
When all the air is unsafe to breathe,
Only then will you discover
You cannot eat money.

Ty. Good work by those trying to clean up the way beyond stupid mess made by mutants. . .

“Oh Beautiful for smoggy skies, insecticided grain,
For strip-mined mountain's majesty above the asphalt plain.
America, America, man sheds his waste on thee,
And hides the pines with billboard signs, from sea to oily sea.”
― George Carlin

I thought that the amount of garbage I was seeing while crossing the Atlantic was a lot.
we saw floating garbage everyday, even over 2000 miles out.
Am surprised at how clean the beaches of san diego are, compared to florida, the caribbean and NY.
the garbage must all be floating around at sea and washing up on the islands.

So glad they do this. Every bit helps. I know it's a drop in the ocean, but every bit removed is helpful!

truly wish the animals on land, in the air and the sea would rise up against humans because humans do NOT deserve to be here since humans only destroy and honor evil

And this is BEFORE the tsunami mess arrives?

What happens to that junk? And do the Japanese have any responsibility to help us clean up?

"Scientists loaded their ship to the max this month off the coast of Hawaii, but their bounty wasn't fish or coral or any other scientific specimen. It was garbage."

Isn't it just atrocious what we do to the land and water of this beautiful blue oasis? I swear, it is like people think if they throw it in the water it magically disappears forever. But birds and other acquatic creatures are found tightly encased, and often dead, in plastic. As much use as we have gotten from it, I still wish it had never been invented. I remember as a child every few miles along the highway seeing signs that said it is a CRIME to litter. It still is, but those signs are almost all gone and the look of the side of the highways after the winter snow melts is heartbreaking. Except this year when we had no snow in Minnesota, just brown, filthy ditches all year. We mow those as they green up during the summer, I wonder how many people and machines are injured or damaged by the mowers flinging all that junk around as they hit it. We are just SO bad at even trying to be eco friendly. What will it take to change that, I wonder, if anything can, because nothing has worked so far.

The world needs more sustainable products - much less plastic - and much less fishing. Eat less fish ...

This is a consequence of deregulation that our republicans friends keep crying for. When will we learn that the goal of capitalism is to make a profit, not to give you a job. In a market were there are more people than jobs the laws of captilism will drive down wages and benefits.

All of us know with certainty no animal on
this plant polluted this area or any other on earth.
We must live as true animal with materialistic goals
out of the equastion.

We must clean up our horrendous filthy mess!!
Act like animal for a change with no litter
trailing behind you!!

Wherever you go there once was a forest.
Plant & protect Danny's trees for life.
Trees are the lungs of the earth.
