No surprise here. Who else would do this horrible thing. Iran has for years used Hezbollah to do their killing while they stand back and say "oh no it was not us" no it was the one armed man.

I am sure that some idiot will say it is a "false flag" by the USA or Israel to start a war. Or It is OK to kill them as they are only Zionists. Which is just a new way to say Jew. Yes watch this thread and see the anti-Semites come out of the woodwork.

They know that he's a Hezbollah member acting on behalf of Iran but don't know his name and nationality. It's all lies, lies, lies.Another pretext for a war on Iran.I'm disgusted with Mossad and CIA - the most probable authors of the crime.

the only thing i saw in that entire article that wasn't a bunch of speculation and finger pointing was the statement that it was a time of heightened tensions over Iran's nuclear program.

What good can possibly come out of presenting a story in this manner other than more panic and retaliation?
Unless that is the intent in the first place.

Bistra. If you really believe that Mossad would kill Israeli citizens then you shouldn't be let loose in front of a computer.
You are confusing Israel with Syria.

The convoluted violence and retaliation in the Middle East surpasses any criminal vendetta and has no rational basis other than blind hatred and a throwback to the reptilian brain. The opposite of love is FEAR. There is no profit to be had in any of these actions, by any side, other than a perpetuation of violence. With all the security apparatus, paranoia, and intelligence that the Israelis have, I cannot understand why they would even consider allowing groups of their citizens to travel under such vulnerable circumstances WITHOUT armed security escorts. That might have prevented this, although it would not solve the underlying problem. Now, instead there will be retaliation. And then there will be more retaliation. And then there will be ... Well, you get the idea. How tragic and sad that in the 21st Century we cannot all live in peace.

(AGI) Stockholm - Sweden has denied reports that Mehdi Ghezali was the suicide bomber behind yesterday's attack in Burgas. The Swedish intelligence (SAPO) denied that Mehdi Ghezali, a Swedish citizen of Algerian origin, was the suicide bomber who blew himself up at the Burgas airport in Bulgaria yesterday killing at least 7 Israeli tourists. "We don't know this name", SAPO chief Claes Ohison told newspaper Expressen adding that he could not "provide any further information".

Noted sadly. Thank you for posting Cal.
'as was said in article it is 'tit for tat' I am truly wondering if there will ever be such a thing as peace on this earth. Seems to me like it will only come in the hereafter. It makes me saddened for future generations, who will be taught to hate because of religious beliefs, & race, and so it will continue on.

he was a gitmo detainee, maybe if the US didn't torture him, he wouldn't have been so angry?.

Stan B If you believe Mossad wouldn't sacrifice a few Israelis to gain their designated target then you will equally believe they did not orchestrate the attack on the U S S Liberty killing, & maiming, Americans and wrecking the American ship. Unfortunately evidence that implicates Israel in this blatant attack to (hopefully) embroil the U S A into an attack on Egypt is abundantly clear, not only that, it was covered up by the American Leaders. What Israel decides is always U S A approved, even murder of American citizens.

Bistra is a very confused and addled individual. I hope Mossad tracks down whoever did it- no mercy shown. Whether he was a 'Gitmo' detainee or not.........does not give him the right to murder others. IMO Iran is just itching to start a war. Thanks Cal

Tom Edgar. It's become a familiar pattern. When Israel haters don't have anything relevant to add to a topic, they throw in the USS Liberty. You didn't disappoint.
Like Charles O, you have a singular lack of understanding of the Jewish psyche and nothing I can say will ever change that so I don't intend to waste my time trying.

Vicky P. Assuming this terrorist had been in Gitmo, it wasn't because he stole cars. He was a low-life, murderous Jihadist who should never have been released in the first place.

Such sad news. I pray that these bombers and others who are out to destroy, would just vanish from the Earth. Why people just can't be happy that they are alive here on Earth...I'll never understand. Thanks Cal

Iranian Ah-MAD-Inejad declared that the Israelis got a powerful response for the murder nuclear scientists. This crazy man is really bad: teenagers are not the same targets as nuclear bomb makers.

He knows that he can kill only kids, and still wants to show himself as a macho. UN is silent, "Human Rights" bosses are silent, Islamists know where and when to squeeze PR.

There has been a lot of talk about issues related, and swerving away from the point. Israel does not let terrorism against it own go ...Hezbollah will pay; when, where, how, they will pay.

Charles, you are bringing quotes very selectively. Look at the whole picture: renovating a well in his mosque for the Mahdi to come, calls to destroy Israel, celebrating murder of seven Israeli teens - these are the signs of a MAD man.

I just have completed my article how the Z'sphere Terrorists are considered the 'good' terrorists.

And vice-versa - those who defend their homeland before the Z'spere Terrorists are officially - in Orwellian newspeak called the 'bad' terrorists.

Maybe you want to have a look Charles ?

About the good Terrorists. About the bad Terrorists.

Stan, most of the people that were in there weren't charged, and were tortured. Out of all the crimes that people in the US commit that are much worse, they don't get tortured for it.

Charles, mistake with identifying USS Liberty was obvious.

"According to Israeli sources, at the start of the war on June 5, General Yitzhak Rabin (then IDF Chief of Staff) informed Commander Ernest Carl Castle, the American Naval Attaché in Tel Aviv, that Israel would defend its coast with every means at its disposal, including sinking unidentified ships. Also, he asked the U.S. to keep its ships away from Israel's shore or at least inform Israel of their exact position.[11][12] The United States did not provide Israel any information about Liberty's mission or location."

While the intentions of both American, Israeli, Egyptian and Russian administrations are not clear, and several provocations could off be in cooking in several places, Israel dearly paid for that error for all damage and to all victims, and US has the incident closed.

In comparison, Iranian attacks against Americans had not been apologized for - starting with hostages taking! Iranian Islamists ignore basic diplomatic protocols and behaved like barbarians then and now. Iranian Hezbola stooges killing NINE times more US service men - 273 sleeping peace keepers, in their barracks, with no mistake whatsoever, with no apologies issued nor compensation given.

Charles, Islamic terrorism came into play long before anything related to modern Zionism. Different Islamic sects started using it under the Prophet at his time. Raping widows of the defeated enemies, like the mythical Mohammed did, does not look like a noble act, but rather a scare tactic.

"Ramadan is, according to Barack Obama, a time to "cherish family, friends, and neighbors, and to help those in need." Or else."

Blowing up Israeli tourists and Bulgarian passerby is done between time to cherish family and to help those in need. I never heard a wish "Merry Ramadan". May be it should be exciting, not merry.

Though Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility, the killers of 299 US and French servicemen were Shia terrorists, supported by Iran.

"Some analysts believe the Islamic Republic of Iran was heavily involved and that a major factor leading it to participate in the attacks on the barracks was America's support for Iraq in the Iran-Iraq War and its extending of $2.5 billion in trade credit to Iraq while halting the shipments of arms to Iran.[16] A few weeks before the bombing, Iran warned that providing armaments to Iran's enemies would provoke retaliatory punishment.[Notes 1]". - from the same wiki source.

Charles, you may be not a fan of Sunni Muslims, but you are a great fan of Shia Muslims, and I have nothing against that. Except when you condone or justify murders committed by Shia terrorists just because they are Shia Muslims. That's not right.

I can't see you logic of blaming Israel of much of terror, when incomparably more Shias were killed by Sunni terrorists in Iraq, Pakistan and Syria, and not by Israel.

Could you please provide trustworthy links to the list of terror acts, you claim were committed by Zionists, not from Islamist source and not from known anti-Semites, like Fisk, Finkelstein, Chomsky, etc?

Charles, I was not "programmed to Fear and Hate Iran". In fact, Iranians, like any other nations, are not coming in bulk with one face. Some people cherished freedoms, and some cherish Islamic puritanism and even fanaticism.

I don't care if some Iranians pray 5 times a day, or 55 times a day, as long as they don't enforce their desires on others. And that is where the issue starts. Persecuting Christians, Jews, Bahai, atheistic intellectuals, hanging gays - this is an example of an order which is my enemy.

Spreading terror on a goal to achieve domination - does not add love either.

But as for educated Iranians with which I had chances to deal with - I have nothing but respect for them.

I think you were "programmed to Fear and Hate Israel" too much, and this time the "programmers" succeeded.
