Not the type of news i wanted to wake up to for sure, and all i can do is offer my prayers and condolences to all those that have been touched by this..it is indeed another case of violence we have come to see all to often in this twisted world in which we live.

And unless that guy was wearing a bullet proof face mask, someone on that police department missed a really good chance to do us all a big favor. Thanks Cal :-(

Colorado mass shooting by 24 yr old man, reveals need for relationship education & better human services in the schools, restricted media violence & on gun sales. Our Country has to reorder it's priorities if we are going to get a grip on violence. Our free society does itself a great disservice when it abandons responsibility in its actions. Freedom without responsibility is not freedom. How do we get to establishing ethics, when we are run by
corporations who support violence? Young people who do mass killings are "sick" in some way...we are allowing them to grow up "crazy". The need the help when they are young. How can we get this consciousness to reign?

Is there a level of blame toward the theater? He was able to prop open an emergency door prior to the movie. He entered wearing a gas mask.. Why wasn't this door alarmed? Don't theaters alarm these doors so people cannot sneak friends inside without paying?
Maybe its different in Colorado, but in my local movie house, there are warning signs that an alarm will sound if the door is opened.

On one side of this news that I have been watching since it happened, is that they are not going to allow people to show up to view this in "GEAR" "MASKS" or carry what they think are toy guns!

Frankly, the fact that this Guy is tied to California I am hearing quite a bit here, and he was allowed to get out of the Movie Exit Door to get his gun and ammo, sadly, the USA has enjoyed such freedom and lately since so many of us have taken this for granted this is what happens.

We need more Rules, and Yes...Allan brought up an outstanding point...Most places on an Exit Door have ALARMS, why didn't this one????

If I tried to get out of a Movie place here in California the Bells would be going off (Hopefully, haven't been to a movie lately, but everytime anyone went out of an Exit here ~ in other establishments there are bells)...Sadly, that at least would of tipped off a few people. Sadly, Never enough.

Prayers for all the families, as well as all those still fighting for their lives.

Just another Movie that promotes violence, and THANK THE LORD THEY TOOK OFF THE TRAILER with the Shooting Scene...Goodness Movie Makers have lost their Minds~ I do in my heart think they should be held UP TO THE Wall and we need to make sure that they are held up for CONTROL in what they DO, sadly never will happen, but they promote this...WT????????????????GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

YEah, what we need is rules, rules , and more rules. The theater is not responsible so why are people trying to blame them? the man killed people and he is the only one responsible. And people are afraid of pit bulls. Somehow I don't think they are the ones we need to be afraid of.

Sad happening for the victims and families.

For those who've a liking for more 'rules' and restrictions to prevent something like this in future, you'd do well to remember that it's an anomaly. It's such big news precisely because it's so rare. Most of us will go through life never once having even witnessed a shooting. Because most people most of the time and under most circumstances are decent and don't shoot others. Killers aren't the norm. Have we really a need for more and more security measures to try and prevent really rare things from happening? Haven't we already given up enough freedom?

So many beautiful lives lost to senseless violence and a society in which killing by guns has become far too prevalent!
