Old Bar is the most rapidly eroding and at-risk piece of coast in New South Wales, losing an average one meter of seafront every year.

Global warming is being seen all over the planet but those that are denial will deny that this erosion could be the cause of ocean levels rising from the Artic melt down. Where do they think this melted ice berg water goes once it collaspes into the sea? It's like a bath tub, you can only put so much water into it before it overflows... when local beach erosions will be more common as time goes on. Those that build their homes so close to these shores are a bit crazy to think they are safe because they paid millions for it. Mother earth doesn't know if it is a mansion or a hut. Just look at the Japanese coast line after that earthquake and tsunami.

Hummmm, there was the Biblical great flood. Could this be construed as "the one meter at a time flood", .

I hope that these home owners can sue for these loses on the lie that global warming would not effect them. I live on Oahu. There is a massive housing development going on on the Ewa plain. This is an ancient coral seabed. I went into the show room of one of the developments and was looking at the mock up of the completed development. A voice asked if I needed help. I asked what the elevation was. 27 feet was the answer. I stated."You do know that this whole area is going to be under water within a century?" The reply was "NO IT'S NOT!!!" I think he did know but did not want to admit it.

For all of those who don 't believe in Climate Change it is here and it will not fix itself, you alms you will wake up to find that you are thirsty, but the well is dry. Those of you who are waiting on the last days whoa unto you did you not read what will happened? Did you not read who will bring destruction up on earth? What you did not read is this fact we can stop destroying Mother Earth nothing is written that States nothing can be done about saving the earth from mankind. But time is running out unless something is not done now no matter how rich or how poor you are there will be no place to hide.

Yet Australia is leading the way in the world right now regarding how it is pulling all of the natural resources it can find, raping the land as fast as it can, to greatly accelerate the effects of climate change, all in the name of pursuing the endless greed of a few oligarchs, such as the abominable Gina Rinehart, the world's wealthiest woman,as well as one of the most heinous humans around. Humanity will get what it deserves, it is just a shame that we have to take the rest of the planet down with us.

yep. as individuals there is little more we personally can do. We really need industry, the wealthy, the Governments, those in power over the economy and the elite to start acting in a positive way. And soon. Hopefully with something better than eliminating 90% of the world's population to eliminate CO2 emissions from us respiring.
