Noted, but they do have more than 11 million visitors per year so I don't think you can criticize the British for the problems there.

The pic is a hard one to look at "Breaking an elephant's spirit"! WOW! Clearly, it's about making money, it's inhumane! Any tourist who pays to ride through the the countryside is just as guilty as the proprietor. John S., I am quite sure not all 11 million visitors come from the U.K.

No one country can take the blame for this--it is ALL countries--each and every participating tourist, and Thailand itself.
They say it's "illegal", but I don't see anyone stopping it--this is beyond heinous!!

Noted! Just disgusting now's about the time time with the Olympics right around the corner to possibly boycott them seeing as there are ties to the UK.

Anyone having anything to do with these heinous crimes against elephants deserves justice at the hands of an elephant.
