Romney's team is trying to muddy the waters around Medicare, but they face an uphill climb.

Let's all hope that they won't be elected. The danger is that they have hundreds and hundreds of millions to manipulate the ignorant to vote against their own interests.

Scarlett P., you must be another GOP shill. Try some homework for a change and ACTUALLY READ the article.

You need to stop listening to the GOP "short attention span theater" propaganda machine and do some fact-checking instead of just buying it as fact when the facts don't support your propaganda.

Here. DO SOME READING:

I don't care if that is too much effort for you to make. It's your own fault if you vote for this traitor and his treasonous party.

Not only will Rmoney mess up Medicare, he and his cronies will take us to a Feudalistic Caste system. Get out and work for Obama, our only chance to retain this good life.

Christopher Fowler, Scarlett P. is not all there. She is however, here, pretty much 24/7 so my guess is she is a software program from Koch central or a person of very limited lifestyle who has no one to talk to and nothing else to do but do her teabagging best to spread birther lies like the above to infect the weak. Basically it's "Who are you going to believe me or your lyin' eyes?" With Scarlett you get what you see in that newest avatar a terrible heretical unpatriotic mess who manages to desecrate the cross and the flag while breaking one of the ten commandments, lying, with every comment. I think it's that religion that worships the rich and says they can do what they want because it's for their God. Or maybe she just likes lying. I'm sure she will tell us. It's Saturday night and she has nothing else planned.

Ty Cal. “Health is a human necessity; health is a human right.” ― James Lenhart

Mitt Romney doesn't "spin" . . . he lies and denies issues and events into unrecognizable convoluted contortions. He is a disgrace. Too many Americans have allowed this to be "accepted" in our national conversations. . .dishonoring past, present and future generations that live and die for true democracy in this country. He should not be running for President of the United States...PERIOD. It is a federal crime against the People.

“By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise.” ― Adolf Hitler

"A nation...cannot survive treason from within...the traitor ...wears the face of his victims,...and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation—he works secretly...he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared......." Cicero, 42 B.C.E.

Comment Sidebar: Oh the "Shady Shills in Red" are with us. . . mutants who suffer from severe brain dysfunctions--this disrupts neural transmissions and cognition. . .resulting in excessive convolution and deficits of ideation. Disconnected from and/or vacant of souls. . .they digest and regurgitate information on cue ad infinitum. [Over exposure to dogma, doctrine and ideology may be factors in causation.]

“The greater the ignorance the greater the dogmatism.” ― William Osler

“When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross.” ― Sinclair Lewis

Mitt Romney IS a "Traitor" to genuine "Free Markets" and American Democracy. [CATO crowd convoluted strange brew Austrian School nonsense is NOT Free Market Economics. . .it only results in conglomerated wealth oligarchies and authoritarian societal constructs.]

"All that harms labor is treason to America." — U.S. Pres Abraham Lincoln
. . . . . . . . . . .
Adam Smith founder of Modern Economics [referred to by the Reich Wing as the Father of Free Markets]:

''No society can surely be flourishing and happy, of which the far greater part of the members are poor and miserable. It is but equity, besides, that they who feed, clothe and lodge the whole body of the people, should have such a share of the produce of their own labour as to be themselves tolerably well fed, clothed and lodged.''

''Even our commercial policy should hold an equal and impartial hand: neither seeking nor granting exclusive favors or preferences.''

"The rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion."

"It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more in proportion."

"Every tax, however, is, to the person who pays it, a badge, not of slavery, but of liberty."
. . . . . . . . . .

"For it is an absurdity to call a country civilized in which a decent and industrious man, laboriously mastering a trade which is valuble and necessary to the common weal, has no assurance that it will sustain him while he stands ready to practice it, or keep him out of the poorhouse when illness or age makes him idle." -- H.L. Mencken

“The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.” ― U. S. Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt

“Try not to become a person of success, but rather try to become a person of value.” ― Albert Einstein

"The superior person understands rightness; the inferior person understands profit." — Confucius

The big difference, though, is the Affordable Care Act achieves these savings by reducing Medicare payments to drug companies, hospitals, and other providers rather than cutting payments to Medicare beneficiaries. (We know the charges that are submitted by medical providers are trumped up cause an aspirin doesn't cost $5. and a three minute office visit isn't worth $160 either.)
The Romney-Ryan plan, by contrast, achieves its savings by turning Medicare into a voucher whose value doesn't keep up with expected increases in healthcare costs -- thereby shifting the burden onto Medicare beneficiaries, who will have to pay an average of $6,500 a year more for their Medicare insurance, according an analysis of the Republican plan by the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office.
