This sacred site must be protected. Would we allow the Arlington cemetery to be desecrated? This site should be treated with the same respect.

Very good news is that today's auction has been canceled by the sellers!

The land is still for sale.

Crow Creek and Pine ridge, Cheyenne River, Rosebud, Standing rock in ND and SD, reservations have 6 of the 7 lowest per-capita incomes in the USA. When the immense lands taken from them is sold and developed, they cannot fight against this alone. So they still need the help of their generous relatives around the world.

Here is the indiegogo Pe'Sla site with the updates from Chase Iron Eyes , Sarah Jumping Eagle, and Dana Lone Hill:

http://www.indiegogo.com/PeSla-LakotaHeartland?c=activity

Please contribute to purchase this sacred land and any others, which are held by private concerns - there is much.

Noted. Did anyone read on that site about that little white buffalo supposedly murdered and skinned? Remember that story? Authorities are saying the little one was not murdered and skinned but died from a bacterial infection. The death was not reported immediately and when examined it was found that it had been dead for at least 6 days and buried for 3. This directly opposes what the owner reported had happened. Bit sus.

N/Signed petitions. Many thanks Cal.
Pe'sla is sacred, already belongs to the Natives and the government and reps should look in the mirror at themselves and I hope they do not like what they see...broken treaties, stolen land and shameful treatment of all the Sioux Nation.

This was left on the thread to one of the stories I posted by another member. I thought perhaps some who have a few questions could get an answer with it.
The Struggle For Lakota Sacred land Continues

Even though auction has been called off that doesn't mean the land still will not be sold. The First Nations, the American Indian is still trying to purchase this Sacred area back and into the protection of the Sioux Nation. Please contribute what you can, and sign petitions below if you have not already done so. Thank you so much, and than you Tom for giving this extra exposure. To the reader please let others know of this situation, we must all be in solidarity with each other.

I live in Florida and Way down by the Everglades was and still is a Corkscrew Sanctuary. Beautiful and a developer wanted to build a golf course. The Audubon Society had to spend lots of money to preserve it and they did and now the developer can fly a kite. Where are the values. Money is not going to be it in the future I hope. Climate change is a real threat and people better realize it. The Native Americans have been screwed so many times by the white European people. Thankfully they are not the majority anymore. I am one but i detest what I see.

When all the trees have been cut down,
When all the animals have been hunted,
When all the waters are polluted,
When all the air is unsafe to breathe,
Only then will you discover
You cannot eat money.
