Each year countless animals die from ingesting plastics of all types including Styrofoam. It takes Styrofoam 50+ years to breakdown and the particles that end up in our environment are filled with toxic chemicals.

Why single out Chick-Fil-A? I disagree with their issue on gays but is it a reason to single them out on this issue?
Why not a nation wide ban? Won't be signing this one.

With all the hate from the gay community at a private business owners belief and they try enterprise terrorism to harm the company I would never sign anyting against Chick-fil A.

The gay ommunity screwed up big time as their are lots of people like myself who support equality in marriage who now have to question at what cost (?) when the attacks only harm people trying to survive.

John, first off i cannot turn a blind eye to hate. Second, i watched the TEDX Youth video...did you?
And third, i checked..McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell, Carl's Junior and even KFC...Yes, KFC, have started using recyclable containers...So what big names are left...especially one's that this type of message/petition will have the impact of people finally paying attention to it like this one does?

We all have to pick our battles. This is one of mine...i even spend more at the grocery store to ensure my meat and produce does not come wrapped in this crap..
and i make no apologies for my disdain at a "famous" and public place that makes no bones about the way they feel about a very large part of the global population, our brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers...and if i can at least try to make them take their bigotry back into the closet, along with their god damn styrofoam, i'm going for it!!!

How would you feel if i said to hell with it, let them frack the s**t out of New York, i don't live there, it doesn't hurt me? You would say i was a god damned idiot...
And you would be correct, because that to touches every human being on the face of this earth in one way or another.

Every company should stop that that includes all grocery store that sells them so NOBODY would use them especially the everyday people who drink out of them at home.

When any business such as Chick-Fil-A, The Crackel Barrel or any other company simply will not hire you based upon Gender preference or they fire you merely because of gender preferences it tends to upset people. I will no longer eat at Cracker Barrel as they fired a friend of mine who had worked for them for several years and had two raises but when it was found out that she was gay.....they fired her. How would a hetrosexual feel if they were fired from a job merely because of sexual preference? If I am not good enough to work there.....they are not good enough to take my money for their food.

I don't see where bringing it to people's attention about the hazzards of styrofoam being used at Chick-Fil-A or any other business is a "GAY" issues. It's and enviromental issues and doesn't have a gender or sexual identity. We all suffer from the effects of styrofoam as well as animals and that is not an identity is a health and enviromental issue. Anyone that wants to make this a gay issue apparently has some issues of their own to deal with personally.

I don't think that this outfit is being singled out Mark, here is a link for the Dunkin Donuts. This is bad for the environment, so whether it was the only store using these cups I'd still sign.

Bill C. This has nothing to do with Chick-Fill-a and whether they hate gays or not, how far to the right they are politically and so forth. This is purely about styrofoam and its dangers to people's health.
It is not who is right or wrong, but what is right or wrong.

Chick-fil-A and ALL restaurant chains and franchises that use Styrofoam cups, need to stop using them; and I will certainly sign such Petitions as they come up.
But there is DEFINITELY ANOTHER ISSUE with Chick-fil-A; and it is NOT about the personal views of its CEO, obnoxious as they may be!
It is the FACT, that Sick-fil-A, thru its nonprofit arm, donates MILLIONS OF DOLLARS OF ITS PROFIT$$$, to HATE GROUPS. So, every time you buy a sandwich there, you might as well be stuffing money into the pockets of groups that advocate, for example, killing Gays, putting Gays in concentration camps, or kidnapping their children. They advocate these ideas here in the U.S., and even more so, abroad, for example in Uganda with its introduction of "Kill the Gays" Legislation. This goes WAY BEYOND just "expression of Free Speech".
Also, there have been reports of Chick-fil-A managers firing or not hiring women, for example, because they think they should be "stay-at-home Moms".
Sick-fil-A is on many College Campuses, and even in High School Cafeterias! Students have justly objected and started Petitions to remove CfA from their campuses. You can find SEVERAL of these Petitions if you go to and then to Gay Rights. [You may have to turn several "pages".] There are also Petitions to remove CfA from sports venues and shopping malls and other places, on You don't have to be in the City or the State mentioned, to sign the Petitions.
