Assad seems intent on destroying his country. I'm pretty sure he doesn't care what Ban Ki Moon has to say about this. Tragic.

Thank Cal for the link to the Global Poat article by Lizzy Tomei. I don't think al-Assad will give Mr. Moon'suggestion any thought as he has already dismissed the idea of buffer zones inside Syria that would enable humanitarian operations to help. Read and noted.

What is going on in Syria is continuous murder - a genocide! It is so close to me here in Israel, I can't believe that while I live my life so many people are being slaughtered and no one cares! It has always been like this on this crazy planet. Only money and economics matter!

Good.

While he's about it, he may as well ask the Sun not to rise in the morning. There's about as much chance.

The world's big guys, Russia, China, and the U.S and the big guy's allies are all stirring the pot that is Syria today... Lots of agenda's.
Because of the natural resources in the Middle East there have been agenda's for decades...... This is all being played out on a giant world chessboard..... Were all just pawns in the game.
I feel awful for the Syrian people...My daughters college friends are Syrians living in Damascus now. There is concern that they too will fall prey to Sharia law if the Islamists take over...
There is always another way...

Ban Ki Moon should off said the same thing to Islamic fanatics fighting Assad.

With Obama showing complete indifference and Muslim Brotherhood/CAIR defining US foreign policy, no wonder any support is given to Jihadists rebels, who are executing POW Syrians, imposing taxes on minorities and bringing up Sharia and extremism with them. All expenses paid by Saudi Arabia, to whose king Obama bowed the other day.

Call it coincidence?

Ban Ki Moon has no power, but has a very large salary. The UN is a toothless tiger and he knows it.

Assad is intent on keeping power and he doesn't care how many of his people he has to kill to do it.
