Dr Pepper marched directly into controversy a week ago when it launched its "March of Progress" ad campaign. And the uproar has not abated.

Sounds like those anti-evolution idiots should be drinking DUH-ctor Pepper...not Dr. Pepper. Personally, I don't drink soda at all. Never liked it, even as a kid.

Thanks, if there was evolution, I'm pretty certain we wouldn't be drinking soda.

These folks need to wear a scarlet I for Ignorance so that normal people will know who they are.

OMG! That is so hilarious. Some people look for things to get upset about. What sad lives they must lead.

Isn't this soda based on artificial prune juice?!?! Yet another advert campaign that's full of road apples! I remain opposed to drinking this trash (I'd rather drink real prune juice!) and will stick to water and occasional store brand fruit drinks and sodas...

The advertisement was clever and points to the natural selection that we know exists...it is not an anti=religious advertisment!!!!

the next cartoon frame should be of "man" puking out the nasty stuff, maybe even reverting back to laboratory or would it be- lavatory lab monkey? Obviously, I dont drink the stuff, no matter how much vodka is mixed with it.

I am sure that there is some ad executive gleefully rubbing his hands together some where. Look at all the attention we are getting over some artificially colored, flavored and sweetened carbonic acid. This stuff not only rots their teeth but their brains too.

Alana H., They do wear red, the Rabid Catholic Anti-Marriage Equality group 'Tradition Family & Property wear Red Capes when they demonstrate. Catholic Bishops wear red, Cardinals wear red and if they were as real as the pretend to be One Million Shrews(Moms) must have permanently red faces caused by their outrage at everything from Ben & Jerry flavor names to Oreo Colors to corporate spokespeople to you name it. And face it the Teanderthal-Teavangelicals-Creationist loons really hate that particular depiction of evolution because it reminds them and every one else just how far from the end result these knuckle-draggers actually are.

these people have not evolved. when people believe that the earth is only 5-6000 years old then you know that they have not intellectually evolved. these are people that believe that humans and dinosaurs lived together at the same time.

They left off the next frame (post-post-Pepper): lying in a hospital bed being treated for countless diseases caused by years of consuming Dr. Pepper (or any other "soft" drink).

Good for this company for refusing to cater to a religious right whose minds are as fossilized at the evolutionary record they deny.

This only shows the extreme stupidity of creationists and those who actually believe in it.

Their faith is so shaken by this ad that they are planning to boycott Dr. Pepper, so let them. I'll just get more to take up the slack. I happen to like Dr. Pepper and I trust the science behind the scientific theory of evolution.

Creationists are so used to drinking their anti science brainwashing religious Reich televangelistaide to think critically or logically.

Haven't seen the word 'kerfuffle' used for years! But that's all it is - get over it, you have no sense of humour.

I don't care if you like Dr. Pepper or not--their ad team has once again clicked on a snappy campaign. Right up there with "every kiss begins with Kay" (so simple, yet it never occured to anyone before) and the KIA hamsters--I looove the hamsters.

A couple of quotes from the article--" “No we didn't come from apes,” wrote one user. “Lord Jesus pep can be blinded. If we came from apes why is there still apes [sic]”

“This is showing the theory of men evolving from apes I have lost all respect for Dr Pepper,” wrote another"

Why are all these creationists functionally illiterate?

Because the Tea Bags have soaked up the minimal intellectual juices in their brains. Now if we could just get 32 of them, we would have a complete set of teeth.

High fructose corn syrup and creationists....two things that are poisoning our society that we would surely be better off without.

I unapologetically love Dr Pepper - it's the only kind of pop whose diet version is drinkable. And before anybody lectures me about bad stuff, I don't smoke, do drugs, drink alcohol, or even drink coffee. I also took anthropology in college, and I think the ad is stupid. If they want to sell this stuff, they need to go back to that catchy musical ad from decades ago, with everybody singing and dancing - ("I'm a Pepper, he's a Pepper, she's a Pepper, we're a Pepper, wouldn't you like to be a Pepper, too?"). At least it would be cheerful.
