Mexico, the End of the 'American Dream' for Child Migrants

For many undocumented child migrants from Central America, Mexico is the end of the road in their endeavour to reach the United States, driven by economic reasons, gang violence and domestic violence.

The American Dream was bought and paid for with the suffering inflicted upon the rest of the nations of the Western Hemisphere, not to mention the rest of the world. It would be the very minimal that our government could do to take action and to help these children.

All I hear is "HELP THE CHILDREN SAVE THE CHILDREN" nice buzz words what about grown up the dads and mom's what we just throw them away. If you save the grown ups they will in turn save there children but if you say save the grown ups it will not pull on your heart strings like "SAVE OR HELP THE CHILDREN" an for the so called American dream paying the bank rent for the house you live in because you do not own it until the "DEED IS IN YOUR HAND THIS IS ALSO TRUE FOR THAT NEW CAR YOU OWN IT UNTIL YOU HAVE THE PINK SLIP" until then you are just paying rent an you have to foot the bill for the up keep. I feel sorry for the Mexicans an all non-American thinking what they see on TV a nice house a new car in the drive way a dog or a cat three kids the American dream until they get here that when the bubble pop's the dream is over "PAPERS WHERE ARE YOUR PAPERS YOU ARE UNDER ARREST" American dream "HA RIGHT" it is just a dream. =^..^=

Have you taken in a stray kitty today

I saw a video about children hopping onto fast moving trains going through Mexico to get to relatives in America and hopes of "getting a job", "a car", "a house", etc. They know it is true because they watch American tv and movies.
Reality check:
a job for undocumented kid - when American citizens in their 50;s are turned down, college grads not finding work. "work" is part time at best. When it rains or snows, there arent outdoor jobs to be found.
a car-many Mexican Americans share a car 4-5 going to the store, some are lucky to drive, but many have to take public transportation, or walk.
a house- we are losing these through foreclosure, some people have to live with parents, some immigrants and citizens have to share apartments with other families. Few people "own" a house free and clear.
The Catholic church has more money than God...why cant it get the act together and find places for abused kids, influence its richer patrons to hire more people, share the wealth (oh Hell, just threaten them with ex communication ), set up community gardens, be an action church, not one that only mouths "God will provide."
reality is we have problems of our own. See how well people who work at Walmart are doing making their food stamps stretch, living in trailer parks and walking to work.
