Momentum Builds for Gaza to Secede, Israel and West Bank to Become One

Gaza and the West Bank have become two irreconcilable entities, many say. Meanwhile, Israelis increasingly support a state shared with West Bank Palestinians, albeit unequally.

Gaza militants’ firing of more than 70 rockets and mortars into Israel today.

It does not sound like they are too friendly.

Ok lets see what this Wolf person is saying?

Illegal - No Israel is a sovereign nation recognized by Democratic nations and the UN.

Sadistic - Israel are the first to respond at major disasters - First in Haiti, Indonesia and Fujiyama. do not torture and have no death penalty. Hamas has tortured and puts to death for most offences. So does the PA and both the PA and Hamas have accused each other of killing members of each others parties. Lets not even bring up honor killings and wife beating.

Racist - not really, their laws demand equal rights and there are Jews, Arabs and Christians of every colour and nationality.

Apartheid - their laws demand equal rights for all and in fact over 20% of Israeli's Knesset are Arabs members of the Parliament. In Gaza and West Bank you have to be Muslim, No - Jews or Christians are allowed to be in government. So I guess the real racists are the Hamas and PA.

Ethnocidal - WTF? I have not seen any dead ethnos around. Hmmm. Israel has people from every country in the world. Every religion is represented and there are Gay rights. How does that compare to Gaza.

Lunatic - the only lunatics that I have seen around are the people that make up stupid meaningless anagrams that are biased, bigoted and bases on lies.

It looks like Israel is actually considering applying the Arabic model of conflict-resolution in the West Bank, rather than the traditional Western paradigm. This means no full annex, no peace with a sovereign Palestinian state there, but maintenance of Israeli sovereignty with a long-term power-sharing agreement. How well has that worked out for Lebanon? (I'm really curious about that.)

This is, sadly, a step away from democracy, but not necessarily the worst kind of such step. Power-sharing governments may be less stable than standard Western democracies as the perceived power of each group changes and the power-sharing gets "violently renegotiated", but democracy may be impractical in this case. This is highly troubling as there will be people like "Wolf", for many years, who continue to insist on a Palestinian state even if Palestinians in the West Bank are satisfied. Because Israel is sensitive to Western pressure, such pressure may actually create a perceived change in the power-relation and spark another round of violence (and I believe it has at least enabled terrorists many times, and that such "humanitarians" actually have the blood of at least hundreds, if not thousands, of people on their hands in this conflict alone). There is also the possibility of immediate danger as the P.A. may be unable to police all of the militant groups and they may spoil this process just as they did so many times with prior peace-negotiations. While I am not convinced that this will work out for the long-term without other factors working out just right, for the near future, this may be the only arrangement which could bring, at least, a stable formal working ceasefire, if not peace.

It is hard to imagine that with the corrupt, barbaric, primitives ruling Gaza that free, democratic Israel could ever reach agreement, especially since the Gaza terrorists have made it clear that the destruction of Israel is the only thing they really will accept.

Israel has freedom of religion, conscience and speech for all, including its Muslims, Gaza persecutes Christians, and most have fled (many to the freedom of Israel) and all non-Muslims, even non-Sunni Muslims.

Gay people live freely in Israel, and Tel Aviv was named as the world's most gay friendly city in 2011.
Gaza tortures and imprisons gay people, those unlucky enough to have not already escaped to more civilized countries, like Israel.

On the persecution and torture of LGBT people in Gaza (whom Wolf A obviously couldn't care less about): AND (this one condemns those ignorant leftists who support the Gaza tyranny)

The West Bank leaders are a little better and their economy is booming (so much for Israel forcing them to live in poverty). CONTRARY TO POPULAR MEDIA MYTHS PALESTINE BUSINESS IS BOOMING:

Here's something hatemonger Wolf A would approve of:

Bukhari:V4B52N177 "Allah's Apostle said, 'The Hour will not be established until you fight
with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say.
"O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."'"
(A poll sponsored by the Israel Project found that 73 percent of Palestinian Arabs “believe” this Hadith, according to the findings of a July 2011 study by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner)

Why is that people like Wolf never condemn the daily rocket attacks on Israel? There would be no need for the wall if the Palestinians weren't sending suicide bombers and rockets into Israel and their imams and religion weren't preaching hate and death to all Jews and Israel. Where's the outrage over this primitive hate?(Note that there have been no suicide bombings killing Israeli kids etc since the building of the wall).

Where's the outrage over the fact the Muslims invaded and conquered Jerusalem and ruled it for centuries (destroying one of Christendom's holiest sites - the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and causing the Crusades) and they deliberately spit in the face of the Jewish people by building their blasphemous Dome of the Rock and al-Aqsa mosque on the Jews' holiest site, the Temple Mount (which the Jews have allowed to stay, amazingly). And the Muslims won't even allow the Jews to stand on the site and pray! Talk about hate and bigotry, and the Israeli PM standing there a few years ago is what set of these barbarians in this current Intifada.

The Palestinians caused this. Where is the outrage over Palestinian/Muslim aggression and hate? If the Palestinians have lived as beggars the past 70 some years it is because they are lazy and lack imagination, not to mention the total lack of support from their so-called Arab Muslim 'Brothers and Sisters' who discriminate against them and give them nothing.

My sense is that most Israelis would prefer an independent Palestinian state in the West Bank IF they were confident it would not just be a base for rockets and terrorists. They would annex Judea and Sumaria only if they see no viable alternative.

Just for economic reasons - neither Gaza, nor West Bank - will want to become independent countries. As simple as that. To make themselves independent countries on Palestinian Arabs means closing the issue of Arab refugees and declaring themselves self-sufficient. Both declarations will result in drastic change in humanitarian aid and UNWRA payments, measured in Billions of dollars.

Which responsible Arab politician will want to cancel this money?

There is, of course, a fear of Islamists who will kill any Arab leader doing concessions for peace, like Sadat. But at least Sadat had something to gain - Sinai, while Gaza and West Bank leaders and people gain nothing.

There will be a long period of cooperation between Israel and PA and a long war between Hamas and Israel.
